Many thanks to Old Knudsen and to Rich for bringing to our attention the sad demise of this lovely man.
Old K. has written a touching euology for him which I am not going to attempt to better.
I stopped work early this afternoon to sit and watch Mr. Boyle's finest hour. Playing the Monster in Young Frankenstein.
This movie means a lot to me and I know it does for Robyn, too, so I've just taken a few screengrabs to remind us of Mr. Boyle's greatness.

And finally, with the beautiful, talented and equally sadly missed Madeline Kahn.
It's the way I'd like to remember them.
Thank you, Mister Boyle.

Ah, sad and very touching, Dive. A monster tribute.
That's sad- I haven't watched too many of his old movies (ok none), but his appearances in later productions have always been great. I loved him in Monster's Ball in particular. RIP.
A great post, Dive. So sad.
I actually like some people Mr Dive. Peter Boyle will be immortal because of his screen work, not bad really to be remembered as such, he was quite fond of the monster himself.
The final screen shot is perfect. I loved them both. "Oh sweet mystery of life at last I found you."
Very sad indeed, folks.
Mister K. Your eulogy was perfect. If anybody hasn't read it I suggest you pop over to Old K's blog and indulge.
Robyn: I laughed until I cried watching the movie again, and I've been singing that to myself all through my Japanese exam (100% by the way). It took much frame-jiggling to get the perfect shot of them both looking so happy.
Wonderful actors, both.
Dive - great job remembering him and Don't inhale till the tip is glowing? funny!!
Good photos too
Congratulations on your 100%! That's quite an accomplishment. So are you proficient yet?
