I almost went to Harrods today, to point and laugh at the world's most pukably kitsch and tasteless statue.
But I really couldn't be arsed to get out of my chair.
Apparently some crappy, self-serving, deeply nauseating bulimic bint of a celeb died a few years back and they're cocking up Westminster's traffic system to celebrate it.
There are concrete roadblocks and armed police everywhere.
There's no point walking up the road to the service to throw rocks and jeer; I'd only get lynched by screaming old ladies …
… and Lynn …
Other than watching Elton John's sad decline into a gay Fat Elvis, there's not much to see there anyway.
Some Kraut Helen Mirren lookalike and a grumpy old Greek with a gun, a jug-eared twat upset because he had to leave his camel at home and a couple of spoilt brats in Nazi uniforms.
And who're they kidding? They didn't allow gingers in the Hitler Youth.
The Pariah Club has waited ten years for the Diana backlash and it looks like we'll have to wait a while longer yet. Hey ho.

The Pariah Club Again
The Pariah Club has been an unexpected success. Kate has even designed us a lovely logo; it's down in the sidebar if any club members want to nick it.If anyone's not been paying attention, up until a few days ago I thought I was the only person to have been ostracised by my family for having laughed when I heard Diana had died.
Once I learned that I was not alone I threw open club membership to anyone who has shamed their family and friends by laughing at news of a national tragedy.
The results have been rather splendid.
So far, we have three Diana's, two 9/11s, one Queen Mum and a Kennedy.
Jolly good show, folks!

The Pariah Club
This is great!
Going through the comments from the last post it seems I am by no means alone in having laughed when I heard Diana had died.
Perhaps we should form some kind of club - The Pariah Club - for social outcasts too despicable to allowed into normal society.
Hee hee hee.
So far it's Fresh Hell, Maria and me.
I'll also make Peahen an honourable member for her cartoon of Stan, Kyle and Cartman standing on a grassy knoll saying "Oh my God! They killed Kennedy".
If anyone else wants to join you've got to provide at least anecdotal evidence of sick laughter in the face of hilarious national tragedy.
Hey! We had a terrorist alert at Liverpool Street Station this morning.
As I got off the train the platform was swarming with police in their sexy yellow minidresses and sub-machine guns, and some poor Asian guy with a beard and a rucksack was being given a - how shall I put it - "stern talking-to".
At least they've learned to yell at people and slap them about rather than simply shoot them in the head these days.
Hey ho.
Robyn's coming to London in a couple of weeks. She better not bring a rucksack and a false beard.
