Yaay, Bam-Bam!

Just a quick, pre-breakfast word to wish Mr Obama all the best in his bid to kick Hillary's ass and replace Monkeyboy in that lovely white house.

Now I'm off to the city to try to find some treble clef earrings for Peahen's birthday (it was wednesday; you missed it, and she was twenty-seven) …
… what I mean by that is she was twenty-seven once upon a time (oops) …

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw Divey Boy! Buying earrings for a girl???? You've ARRIVED! ;)

Forgot to mention...I like dragonflies! ;)

Billions of dragonflies in the Norfolk Broads every summer, Ame. I'll net a few and send 'em over so you can stick 'em on your ears (hee hee).
And I don't tend to buy earrings for boys (unless that lovely Mister Knudsen asks me … the man's sexier than a greased-up Johnny Depp).

No I only expect a ring from you, a cock ring.

Firstly Peahen looks lovely no matter her age, brains and beauty the Gods have favoured her well.

Don't waste yer time on Obama, c'mon a black president, next you'll say a woman has a chance.

If you are buying earrings this morning, you are on your own kiddo!!
As for a cock ring, we all know how Dive feels about royalty, so I can't see him having anything to do with a Prince Albert!
See you at 9:00 Dive.

Ah the bros are out shopping (good move Ame: i like diamonds by the way, simple plain design is fine) Lucky Peahen, though you've spoiled the surprise a bit if she calls in. Twenty seven is a great age. I'm that too, on some days. My better days. A cock ring, Dive? I'd keep rings and Old K far apart if i were you.

Happy belated birthday to Peahen--she could pass for 27 easily.

I've never much of a diamond girl--I prefer silver without stones.

We're giving those bros a jolly long old christmas list aren't we girls! Isn't it just super (diamonds) fun? lol.

Thanks, Old K.
The jewellers were all out of cock rings, so I'm afraid that'll have to wait.

And in an ideal world the next US president should be full-blood Native American, and should kick out all the immigrants from the last five-hundred and fifteen years.

And for the record, Phil did come earring shopping with me (heh heh).

Lynn, diamonds are overpriced and drenched in Congolese blood (even if only by association). I wouldn't buy one for anyone. Sorry to disappoint.

I'm with you, Robyn. Silver's nice (Peahen's sister Helen makes lovely silver jewellery, amongst her myriad other talents).
And for the record (again), I couldn't find treble clef earrings for love nor money, though I've just checked the web and there's lots on there.

I know it sounds obvious, but did you try your average high street guitar shop? Strangely i've seen really pretty silver ones in there, along with bracelets, necklaces and so on.

Okay then Dive, well you know there are some very beautiful cubic zirconias out there which look very convincingly like diamonds but are a fraction of the price. There you go. LOL. !

Ahh Dive you know we're all teasing (zirconias) if YOU were asked what you'd like as a Christmas or otherwise present, what would it be?

why I absolutely LOVE Hilary's pant suits don't you? If she gets in the white house we will see scores of women walking around in them. My favorite is her cranberry colored one.

Oh and SHUT UP AME!!! ;) :)

Yes, Lynn. The first place I tried was Gibson Music, who do all sorts of things like piano keyboard scarves and, indeed, treble clef earrings. But they only have them in for Christmas (damn their commercial opportunism)!
And as for this grumpy old Marxist's ideal Christmas present; it would have to be an end to Christmas as a festival of greed and commercial obscenity (boring but true).

Oh, and an end to pants suits. EEWW, Rich!

Oh, and Lynn … All the way through the rugby this afternoon, I've been consumed by Archie's dilemma.
I honestly don't know what I'd do in his situation and it's been bugging me.
For anyone not up to date, Lynn's thrown a new character into the mix in her novel, and for once, he's not a deeply unpleasant male, but she has given him a moral dilemma.
And, as I say, it's been bugging me all afternoon.
Rats …

Rats, you called me deary? That's my Chinese sign ya know...sneaky & suspicious and always scurrying around looking for a tasty morsel to hoard! LOL! =)

And, yeah, Lynn did GOOD with this chapter...nice to know not ALL males are only after ONE thing...well, perhaps I've spoken too soon! Hmmmmmmmmmmm! ;)

SHUT UP RICH!

Carry on GF...can't wait for the next installment! Bet you're plugging away on the keyboard as we speak! But only if you're up to it! REST! FLUIDS! REST! Get better for next weekend! ;)

Sooooooooo...have you done any cleaning today DB? Got the "marigolds" on? Slaving over a hot toilet? Cooking up masterpieces in the kitchen? I think I'll stop here...might get myself in trouble...naaaaaaaaaaaaah, MOI? ;)

CAN'T WAIT TO GET TO LONDON DIVEY!!!!!!!!!

=)))

Not much housework today, Ame. Only a couple of hours first thing.
What with breakfast in the city, shopping, playing guitar over at Phil's until lunchtime, then Six Nations Rugby this afternoon, I've not had the time.
And now I'm going to chill with a bottle of wine and a couple of DVDs.

Oh, and I'm "INU", the dog (I think). Unless I'm much mistaken, that's the Chinese sign for ugly middle-aged blokes who can't get a date.
Stupid horoscopes …

SHUT UP DIVEY BOY!

Ame said...

Or I'll have to come over there and put you to SLEEP! ;)

dive said...

Now now!
You KNOW what makes me all sleepy!
BEHAVE!

Ame said...

I do...READING silly "Ame" comments all day...and OK, I'll behave...won't go down that road anymore...well for a few posts anyway! ;)

I really should be polishing my fur-lined sink!

dive said...

Now THAT sounds like a euphemism!

Ame said...

I really don't know what You-Fem-Isms are DB! ;) So I guess I didn't type one, did I?! Care to explain so I don't have to haul out yet ANOTHER dictionary? =)))

PS: I got an "A+" in all my college English courses!

Cheltenhamdailyphoto said...

lol you two!

Dive it's wonderful that you are thinking so much about the novel! Yes, it is a real dilemma for Archie isn't it. I wouldn't like to be in his shoes one bit and how deeply he sank into Jo's world when he decided to lean over for an unsuspecting, casual chat!

Watch that space and thanks both for following it so closely!

LOL Kate! ;)
