Duck And Cover

A very quick post as I'll be stuck all day in a departmental meeting (the sort you enter sane and depart mental).

A few shots I took on the way in to the office this morning:

A terrified London cowers in fear awaiting the onset of Hurricane Ame, due to touch down tomorrow morning.

Tower Bridge from the Wibbly Wobbly Bridge (dead Lawyer out of shot on the right).
Do click on this one. It's a typical London sunrise. I love 'em.

St. Pee's

One for Lynn. The Eye and Parliament from Temple

Enjoy.
Gotta rush!
Ame, have a safe flight. See you 10:30 Monday!
Don't panic, but are you sure you've got the tickets? And where are your passports?
Yikes!

Ame, you will have so much fun in London--it's one of my favorite cities. And give Dive a big kiss for us all--you'll have to be the proxy.

Oh, and Dive--St. Pee's? Beautiful sunrise! I have nothing to match that here even on a good day, but on this bad day our streets are filled with big piles of scooped up black and gray snow. It's like driving through tunnels of sludge--very unpleasant. Can't wait for spring.

OK, even though I'm very excited about my McIntriguing evening, I'm still beside myself with jealousy that Hurricane Ame will be hitting London. You are a lucky woman, my dear. Envy, envy, envy, can you feel the envy.

MB: Cheers, mate; especially for reminding me of the weather in Adelaide! Doh!

Ame, facial massager? That's a new euphemism for it.
It's still pretty sunny here this lunchtime.
And warm enough to go out and fetch noodles without a coat!

Robyn. I don't think Ame's hubby would approve if I gave her a kiss for all of you!
And would that also involve giving HIM a kiss for Knudsen and Rich and MB et al?
Yikes!

Sassy, I'm sure McI would love a trip over here. Give him sufficient hints and we could all be strolling by the Thames, eating Fluff.

Best of luck to ya mate. I think you solitary soul is gonna need it after Ame descends upon ya. She seems to be quite a handful!

I want in on the trip and the fluff indulgences! Don't forget me!

Absolutely, Prudence. If Sassy and McI come over without you, I'll feel a bit of a gooseberry.

Now, now... Let's not jinx things.

Prudence, I sense some traveling in our futures.

Sas, I was already lookin at airline prices.. I can swing it.
Oh poor Dive, what has he gotten himself into with these bloggin weemen?

Mmmm … The weemen …

Dive, just curious.. Did you get a big tent in your pants approximately 20 minutes ago? I only ask because I clicked on the photo in your "Not Bloody London Again" post and it said if I did you would get a stiffy. This is purely for scientific purposes that I am asking. If it works I am about to post a whole bunch of pictures to click on over and over and over , well you get the idea. Just to make sure that the study is true.

Damned right I did, DP.
I was wondering who did that …

Good luck with the experiment (hee hee).

Glad to be of service!. I posted the wintery photos. Not real happy with them. Have a great weekend!

Those are scary, Prudence, but I've been clicking and clicking on them 'til my poor old wrist gave out …

I bet your wrist is sore but don't blame that on me!

Hee hee!

Yetta, have you made poor Dive all unnecessary?

dive said...

I think I need a cup of tea and a lie down.

HEY GANG!!!
We're HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE!

And it's NOT raining! YAY!

Got into Gatwick at 9:30 and we were at the Marriott by 11:30...took a fun taxi ride from the Victoria train station! Fast, lady driver, COOL! ;)

Just had lunch and a pint down the street at the Weatherspoon Pub...a semi-pub restaurant with really NEAT bathrooms!

DIVEY BOY! You didn't remind me that smoking was still allowed, haaaaaaaaaack! LOL!

That's ok...we sat far enough back that it didn't bother us!

OK, off to check out the double-decker bus tour times...

Kisses to everyone!
More later...WOW! 15 pounds for 24 hours of internet service! ;)
xo

I LOVE IT HERE! ;)
