Our lighting technician today is William the Conqueror,
high up on the wall of the Palace of Westminster, built by his son
but lit by someone with lesser æsthetic sensibilities.

He looks like he is about to give a press conference...about how to overcome the less aesthetic sensibilities of modern design and the aggravation of winter weather.

Ms.M. I think the lighting rig is deliberately utilitarian to show that it is temporary and not something that they would be dumb enough to build into the fabric.
The snow yesterday came down thick and fast but was too wet to lay. Last night, however, we had another dusting and this morning the world is transformed, dammit. The fields are as white as week-old dog crap, and that's as poetic as I'll ever get about snow. I hate the stuff.
