Is it possible that the boss is playing yucky Christmas music to punish the hungover workers? Or to specifically annoy the inordinately chipper curmudgeon who did not partake of as much Christmas cheer?
We've suffered some awful music here, especially in the stores. Who gives a recording contract to someone who can't carry a tune? And then who buys that recording? It's painful.
Speedway, the boss was playing Christmas music because he is a very sick puppy. He actually enjoys the stuff and sings along (hideously). Brrrr …
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Ah, Savannah, you have made my day complete. Thank you so much for reminding me of a reason to celebrate: that there is such a thing in this world as Christmas Country Music and that it remains firmly on the other side of the Atlantic is a source of deep joy to me. xoxoxoxo
Petrea, popular music died as a valid art form around 1974; there has been nothing in the charts since that has not been done before and done much better. Re-recordings of Christmas music by "popular artists" are a more sure sign that the world has ended than any amount of Mayan calendars.
Ahhh … NOW you're talking, Ms.M. A true "musical" maverick! His "renditions" are the stuff of legend.

I just had dinner in a restaurant in Texas, sweetpea! Nothing, I mean, nothing beats Christmas country music! *sigh* xoxoxoxo

I wish current popular singers would stop trying to "recreate" old holiday classics. Especially the ones who can't actually sing.
But then we'd miss out on this:
