More old and new. The Blitz left so little of the City standing that St.Helen's church - skyscraper of its day - is now lost in a steel and glass jungle.
I'm struck by the way that a thousand years of architectural progress has resulted in our building simply larger versions of church tower shapes. The materials might be different but the shapes are the same.

Nice photo! I like they way you "layered" the views of the buildings. St. Helen's church looks so solid next to the glass skyscraper.
