Another Big Fat Bunch Of Nothing

Yet another filler post today.

I don't know if you get this in your job but I tend to do a lot of the conceptual side of my work either on the train or at home in my own time. The sort of thing that I can't really justify wasting office time on but that - if it works - means big kudos with the bosses.

So anyhoo; I woke up early this morning with one of those "Ooh! Ooh! Wouldn't it be a great idea if …" thoughts spinning round my brain so I hitched myself up to the big Mac, plugged my espresso maker into my intravenous drip and got down to some serious architectural 3D nonsense.

The result of which - several hours later - is a pounding fucking headache and the realisation that there's a lot more work involved in this one that I'd thought.

So while I crawl off back to bed with some painkillers, here are a couple of photos from yesterday showing that trick nature pulls every year when it makes everything real pretty before suckering us with six months of arctic fucking weather.

This one's Norwich market looking toward the castle.

And this is the view from my front doorstep.
Looks like it's time to break out the ol' leaf rake …

It is magical, isn't it? Mother Nature is the best artist there is!

I'm out of coffee. I'm not sure how I let that happen, but the very thought of facing the day without any makes me want to crawl back in bed, too.

Bummer about your headache. I say resist the urge to think about work on the weekend! Especially when it looks like the sun is out and the leaves on the trees are showing off their glorious fall colours.

I had sushi for dinner last night which of course made me think of us sitting in the park in London having sushi for lunch. Such fun we had! Man that seems like eons ago now that I'm home. Now speaking of coffee, I guess I better get out if bed, get dressed, and go get some. Hope you feel better soon!

No point just yet, Dive. Wait a while longer and save yourself one job at least!

I've been to that market so it's one of the few photos here of Norfolk I can recognise!

I know exactly what you mean about work and, strange it seems, I was thinking the exact same thing this morning! Very often on my own time I have had ideas, taken down details, done some prep. but can you get paid for this? Not really, but if you really only worked in work hours, so much less would get done! Maybe some people do, with a kind of sod it attitude, do they? They must have so much free time! I remember my ex boyfriend unplugging my laptop at 6 and telling me work was over. It seemed so unnatural, plus I had so oooo much to do the next day! Or, we could work in a shop and sod off at five.

Oh Dive, I'm so glad Autumn has come to you! Isn't it the best....before the fucking tundra moves in? : )

I know what you mean about thinking and thinking and then realizing you took on a monster. I've been burning the wicks at both ends this week and this morning just threw a fit because once again, the level of cleanliness in my house is pretty low! Hang in there!

I really like those photos Dive. I have thousands of leaves falling by the hour here. Luckily I can blow them into the woods for composting. Snow, ice, and below zero temps are soon to be here. Does this mean Dive will be posting some fall and winter recipes? I sure hope so.

Would that be creative over-load Dive???

Coffee often gives me a headache - maybe you had caffeine over-load instead.

Or maybe you just had a crappy headache for no reason at all.

Maybe I'll just shut up and get ready for work - it is 6:43 am on Monday morning - bummer!!!!

Hope you are feeling better after your nap.

Cheers xx

Hope you're on the men, buddy. The old dive just isn't the same without the old Dive.

It's almost time for another work week to begin for you now. Hope your head was a passing pain! Do you need glasses in the morning for your computer. I can't ever look at my screen when I first get up unless my glasses are on my nose-without them I might as well order a migraine over easy for breakfast. Yeowch.

This is the time I love to get outside and paint. I haven't had any time so I took a bunch of photos instead. Not my first choice, but I have something.
Hope you feel better.
