By Christmas it'll be just about dark by then.
Brr …
On a merrier note, the answer to yesterday's conundrum is of course "a phallocrypt."
Koteka, horim, phallocrypt, penis gourd; call it what you will, it is a thing of splendour, and highly practical, too.
I wish the codpiece would come back into fashion here in England. A phallocrypt gives a man plenty of space and healthy air where it's needed and has the added convenience of concealing the occasional involuntary stiffy from the general public by becoming more of a "snug fit". No more tent-trouser embarrassment.
Let's start the campaign right here: Bring Back The Codpiece!
Many thanks again to Jules for her thoughtful and sensitive gift.

I leave for work in the dark and return when it's dark. It's like existing in a black hole. Bleh!
Phallocrypt? Wouldn't that be for dead ones? How about a phyllocrypt for the flaky dough ones that fall apart when touched?
I want Jules to visit me.
Speedway, a phallocrypt of filo pastry would be too fragile to wear in public.
I'm not too sure about how tasty it might be, either.
She's a bringer of delight, Petrea.
That's a creative and fancy way to cover "manly parts". Jules sounds like a creative shopper, bringing unusual and delightful gifts.
I also go to work and come home from work in the dark. But it's not as extreme as your situation. I guess we could say, Tis the Season....
Tis indeed, Ms.M. Tis the season for wishing Spring would hurry up and arrive.
It is very tricky buying something so personal for someone you haven't met before. You don't want to insult or give them a swollen head (so to speak). You have to get it "just right."
Petra - would so love to visit!!!
Hee hee hee hee hee
