Bizarre Monotonal Apoplexy

Suicidally boring update to this morning's festering pismire of tedium …
Yup.
I was right …
Apologies for reaching hitherto unplumbed depths of dismal dullness, but the engineer came out and told IT that they had indeed ordered the "basic" machines without the Postscript hardware needed to enable them to talk to our disparate mix of Mac and Windoze beepy-boxes.
And of course the engineer didn't have those parts with him. We've got to order them from Narnia or Mordor or somesuch place with a six week postal delivery service manned by incompetence dæmons.
Why I don't start my own IT department is a mystery. I'm always doing their smegging work for them.
Twats.

Even worse; they have got me posting about IT issues. If I'm not careful, the bastards will soon have me speaking Klingon! Fuck it.

On a separate note, Heidi is now drunk, and an upset Finn who is drunk and maudlin is even more hilarious to listen to than a merely upset Finn … and my involuntary grins and giggles make her even worse.
Which has cheered my day considerably.
So … advice for anyone feeling down: go out and upset a Finn, then have a good laugh at their bizarre monotonal apoplexy. Getting them drunk makes it all the funnier.

I take it that IT don't read your blog? They're like chefs in that they can do some sneaky things to you if you upset them. At least Scout will understand the gravity of your insult.

If I suddenly start writing in Klingon you'll know they've infiltrated my blog.

lol Dive! How frustrating for you though.
I do know a Fin actually and she hasn't even returned my Happy New Year text yet. She was in Ireland at the time. Is that Klingonland too?

I just love the Finnish accent, Lynn.
Heidi somehow manages to express the full spectrum of emotional extremes within a vocal range of less than a semitone, which I find weird and hilarious.

tis interesting. I bet they find us a monotone zzzzzzzz don't you?

However, my Fin isn't quite the same. She's Irish and her name's Finola. lol ! sorry i wasn't clear.

Dive, old son, we ain't got none of them Finns in our country, mate.
Can you possibly send a few across, SVP.
Our education has been sadly neglected because the mother country only transported Irish and Welsh folk.
However, we have perfected the monotone you mentioned.
As distinct from Finland, ours is caused by flies.
I wonder what theirs is caused by ?
And,,, do they speak monotoniously with the gob wide open? That would rid us of some flies if you could send a batch over, mate !

Remind me: why was she upset again?

Hope your Saturday was better than the last two days.

Mine was a bit long, and I'm doing it all over again tomorrow.

I don't believe I have ever witnessed a drunk Finn.

My life is so boring.

Lynn: Heidi thinks it's weird that our voices go up and down to emphasise things.

Scarlett, hi! Laughter is always good.

Monsieur B: You might well end up with Heidi; she wants to travel. If a gorgeous blonde girl turns up in Adelaide with a startling cleavage and a voice like Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator, that'll be Heidi.

Joy: She was rightly upset at our boss for telling her that her contract would not be renewed at our Christmas party, rather than letting her enjoy Christmas and telling her in the new year. He's a dolt.
Good luck with all the house-buying chores.

Maria: You live with a beautiful, hyper-intelligent daughter and an übercool and sexy musician and you go to sporting events wearing a corn-cob hat and you think that's boring?
Weird!
