And it's Monday, too, which should cheer me up a bit.
But it doesn't.
Christmas and New Year were just so depressing that it will take more than a sunny Monday morning to get me going.
Not even the sight of Boudicca can rouse my brain from its grey torpor. And if a kick-ass bird in a spiky chariot can't do it then what the fuck can?
2008 really sucks ass.
A measly two credibility points to anyone who can spot where the post title comes from. I'm so bored that I couldn't be bothered to think up a harder one.

Been watching you some Buffy, Dive?
I know...I have your mood clear across the waters...
I just feel like punching God. Except I'm not sure he/she/it exists, so as usual, I am punching the sky instead.
Let's get through the week, mate.
Don't know, except it was something i used to say a lot with an ex boyfriend. No that's not as cruel as it sounds! He liked shopping i didn't. I'd say it two mins after entering one.
Happy New Year Dive, it'll get better i promise. It will. You have a girlfriend!! Yay.
Oh by the way i've nicked your meme at Things Uk. Thanks.
A measly two credibility points are winging their way to Maria.
Actually Maria, the thought of my big box of Buffy is kinda cheering.
I love those moments when Willow - in "Evil Willow" mode - tilts her head to one side and that cute little voice says "Bored now" and you just know that all manner of hellfire and destruction is gonna rain down.
Yeah … as there's no God to punch in my world I think I'll have a Buffy-fest to cheer me up.
Happy New Year, Lynn. 2008 had better buck its ideas up pretty quick because I've still got the receipt and I'll send the bastard back otherwise.
I demand the measley two credibility points as well. I flashed to Willow and the flaying scene before I even read your throwing of the gauntlet. If only all TV was as much fun as Buffy was. *sigh*
I'm not so bore as I am uninspired. Getting up and going to work is not a particularly intriguing prospect.
Yup. It kinda sucks, doesn't it, Fresh?
And two points to you, too.
Now I suppose I'm going to get hooked again watching all 39 DVDs with 6 episodes on each for the next few weeks.
That's the trouble with Buffy; once I watch that first episode I can't stop until the whole damned town goes down the hole.
Hey ho.
So true. I ended up buying the DVDs after my sister lent me the first season. Could. Not. Rest. Until I got to the next episode . . . and the next . . . and the next . . . and then the sad realization that the Hell Mouth had cratered and there would be no more.
Except of course Series 8: Joss's comic book continuation.
Go on … You know you want to.
Dive has really taken a nose dive in 2008!
Cheer up old guy - coz I don't want to be accompanied by a grouch when touring the almshouses, which I gladly accept by the way. Thanks! :D It would be nice to have a 'learned' person pointing out to me the reasons why a particular structure is beautiful and/or flawed.
I almost ran outside when the sky was so blue with some cumulus clouds happily floating by. But I couldn't be bothered. Maybe tomorrow, coz now it's really wet and dreary.
I can't reconcile you with the grumpy dive and the guy who likes Buffy. A total enigma :p
I got a box of Charmed. You into that?

I never saw Charmed, Joy.
The only DVDs I have a boxed set of are Buffy, Frasier and The Simpsons.
That pretty much sums up decent television for me, which is just as well because I don't have the time to watch it.
Oh, except the odd episode of Family Guy on my iPod for those depressing train delays.
Part of my degrees (which seems like eons away) was Criticism. Such a nasty word. But for 9 years, I had to live, breathe and sleep -isms. We used them not only when analysing written work, but also on performing arts, the visual arts including film and television. So yeah, you could say I have (and still do) watched loads of tv in my life. Sometimes, I just really need to do something mindless to relieve stress - so watching good ol' American sitcom comes to my rescue :D

They can be so therapeutic, Joy, especially the Crane brothers in full-on bitch mode. That always does it for me.
Or of course Willow doing absolutely anything.
Sigh …
Buffy episode one tonight, then no rest for seven whole series. Hey ho.
It's men our age dive -we've done it all and now we are bore shitless. I feel the same way.
Dammitt, Dive! I could have blithely carried on not knowing about that. I've recently started a comic book habit when I killed some time reading through "Fables: Legends in Exile.

Now another potential addiction . . . Great!
Hee hee to both of you.
Rich: Spring will be here soon and our decrepit old bodies will start to feel frisky again.
Fresh: Get your butt down to your local comic shop; you've got some back numbers to catch up on. Otherwise order 'em straight from Dark Horse Comics.
I never watched Buffy it never appealed to me.
Sorry you are blue/gray/and muted.
I do understand how you feel.
I have done my best to outline the Front Runners on my blog.
I have a better life-story to share, hopefully tomorrow.
I didn't know Buffy had a "big box"!!!!!!!!
SMG Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....
FULL !!
Not being a Buffy fan (yes i will wash my mouth out) I had no idea, but I must say I like it and intend to use it - probably today!!!
You need a new hobby - something to challenge you. I took up blogging and diving. But i guess diving would be depressing in your neck of the woods - can't imagine there'd be anything warm or interesting in the Thames.
Prudence: An excellent piece on the primaries. Far better than anything I've seen or heard in the media.
Phil: Gyak. It's Willow for me, every time.
Lynn: Hee hee. He's dreadful.
Jules: Diving in the Thames would be nowhere near as disgusting as it used to be, but the visibility is less than 1mm, so there's not a lot of point.
