St.James's Park is chock full of birds, yet nobody seems to want to eat these yummy berries.
They've been sitting there since October, when I first noticed them.
The photos put it far more eloquently that I can, just how heinously winter sucks ass.The bush is a variant of callicarpa, for which the common name is "beauty berry" but in bird language must mean "shitty-tasting".

Dessert on the terrace; berries and ice-cream; a little Johann Strauss (the elder), playing in the background, one's true love at the other end of the long table.
Don't go to work, Dive, just pick berries. It's bound to still be politically correct !
Maybe the birds are just stunned stupid by the cold.
