I just got back from a meeting at our school in Norwich and I took my camera as the school has hundreds of beautiful trees and I was after some nice flaming autumn shots.
Ha!
One tree … One measly tree, behind the caretaker's garage has switched on its autumn lights; all the others are resolutely staying green.
This is the only tree in Norwich that has realised it's half-past October.And it was tipping it down with rain, too, which makes for a dull photo.
Hey ho.
Now I'm back in the village it is gloriously sunny, but every stupid tree in Brundall still think's it's midsummer and it's just green, green green here.
Bollocks to global warming.
Yesterday, walking through St.James's Park in London the fucking CROCUSES were out!
I mean WHAT!?!?
If it's sunny at the weekend I'll go see if I can find some trees who have the sense to know what season it is. Don't wait up …

It's not quite as bad here, but almost. While you're out with your camera looking for pretty trees, take your paints along, Dive, and post us a pretty picture.

It's warm today here in Boston but a bit foggy at the start.
I was doing the same thing today (well sort of). It's so darn frustrating that I couldn't find the same golden yellow or rusty red trees that I saw in Warsaw a week ago. I may try going to Fairhaven this weekend! Been there?

According to the BBC News the other day, this has been a glorious autumn and all the trees are a riot of gold, russet and red, so you must be doing something wrong.
Mind you, I've seen bees and butterflies in my garden, so I haven't got a clue where we are in the year exactly.
I'm working from home today too -well sort of - I'm blogging and organizing my Vietnam photos!!
When I look out the window all I see are coconut trees and they only drop bombs not their leaves.
I could go an autumn - how about house swapping????
I love "half past October" too, Kate. It's about 28 here today - we're having a superb spring day - this weekend will be 30 and 30 with a change on Sunday afternoon. My roses are blooming but some of the camelias are still out. The garden looks superb but not an autumn leaf in sight! xxx Mme Benaut xxx

The sun is out and it is crispy cool. The trees all look as if they are in shock. But, it is a good shock.
