The leaves are still on the trees.
It is still the tail end of Summer here.
I was mowing the lawn and cleaning my car in a teeshirt at the weekend.
Then I sat out on the lawn with next door's cats and a glass of wine enjoying the sunshine.

I agree its tacky to start the yuletide season this early but they start selling easter eggs around January 15th over here so at least they waited till october to do the sucky santa thing.
wow, it's barely October. We're in the throws of Halloween here with all the ugly pumpkin crap in store windows, but as soon as that's over with, we'll be covered in holly and pine.
I do like starting Christmas music early, though, I have to confess. Hmmm, I wonder where my Charlie Brown Christmas CD is?
They start putting Christmas crap in the shops here at the END OF AUGUST!!!!!!!!!!!
The sickening commercial greed really makes the season seem special, doesn't it?
And Robyn: The Charlie Brown Christmas CD is exempt from my rants.
As are Nat King Cole, The Pogues and John and Yoko.
All other Christmas music should only be played in December, and then not when I'm listening.
Ick.
I'm a horrible scrooge about giftmas. The earlier the Christmas crap comes out, the less it seems to hold on to the intended sentiment of the holiday, and the more I want nothing to do with it.
I have half of my Christmas gifts purchased already. So...ducking from the flying bowling pins now....
