Moan, moan, moan.
That's all us old folks ever seem to do.
And now we (or at least three of us) are officially old folk.
I was just over at Scout's place and was startled to discover that it was a year ago today that she and Sassy first got together.
Yikes!
Prompted to check back in my own dusty and slightly foxed archives I find that Sassy first invaded the Small Glass Planet on the third of October last year, followed almost immediately by Robyn.
Our original little gang of two cuties and one saggy old whopperjaw is a year old.
I'm quite choked with emotion.
We looked so young back then …
Happy Birthday, Blogville.
Sigh …

Oh? You have the term "whopperjaw" there as well? I thought it was a local term only used by the yocals in middle Ohio. Who would have guessed.
Happy birthday, blogville.
I wondered where I'd come across it.
Well at least it's a lot cleaner than the word I'd intended typing.
Woohoo for being old!
Here's to the next year, Robyn.
congratulations, sugar! :-)
Dive! Dive! Guess what? I think i've just found another offending word. On the BBC news! I know you'll be excited and dismayed at once! Stand back now...
CREATIONISM !
Well? The headline said Creationism in Schools. No idea what it was about, didn't care, just thought wow here's one for Dive and me. You think it sounds barmy and wrong? Do you concur? Well? Well?
.......I must get out more........
Oh yes and Happy Birthday you oldies. Why has Robyn gone all scouty? I must away to find out at once...
Cheers, Savannah!
And Lynn, that non-word, representing as it does pseudo-science of the most sickening imbecility, sets my teeth on edge. See my post of last November: "Drooling Nutjob Creationists".
Luckily, good old Richard Dawkins (Darwin's Rottweiller) is over in the States at the moment fighting back on behalf of reason and truth and rallying the Atheists against the imbeciles.
Barmy and wrong indeed. I concur absolutely.
And our Robyn has been "Scout" in my sidebar for a year now. It goes back a long way.
Get out your copy of To Kill A Mockingbird and read it over the weekend. Robyn as a girl was even more like Scout than the girl in the movie.
Whopperjaw....that sort of sounds like the name of a porn star.
Ah. Wow. A year is a long, long time in Blogville.
Hee hee, Maria.
And a year at my age seems to go by in a matter of weeks.
Scary.
Yay you concur! First chance i've had to come back and check. Ah that's where Scout comes from of course! One of my favourite books, indeed. Thanks for that.
