Hey, I just noticed that today is my sixth blog birthday!
I think that's a good enough excuse to open up the Scotch and get slightly shitfaced while shouting at the Olympics. I may even use the word 'party' as a verb (slap me).
And a very happy sixth blog birthday to my longtime best buddy and Wyrd Sister, Robyn, who started blogging at the same time.
Woo … and very definitely, hoo!

Congratulations, Dive, on your anniversary! I'm so glad you are doing this blog thingy because it meant I got to *meet* you and you have added so much to my experience over the past year. I've learned a lot of new stuff I wouldn't have done otherwise.
Thank you, Speedway! I do hope we get to meet for real one day. I've met a whole bunch of blogpals, many from the States (I even dated one for quite some time), and I've definitely learned a WHOLE BUNCH of stuff I wouldn't have known about otherwise.
The most important lesson it has taught me is that some Americans are intelligent (a complete shock to anyone in Europe, I can tell you); in fact my blogpals are intelligent, witty, charming, gloriously snarky, monstrously talented and I couldn't do without any of you.
Before I go into an Oscar's speech weepeie I'm going to head back to the Scotch bottle and shout at some more Olympics. TTFN.
I hope you are not getting too much scotch down that throat of yours young man or your mother will be telling you off!
