Hokay, so you want to open a dress shop in a Shanghai opium den. Fair enough. But what on earth possessed you to do it in Norwich? Inside a mall? Next door to the Apple Store?
And as for those chandeliers? So far beyond tacky it's painful.
What's the weirdest shopfront in your local mall, folks?

It's mercifully long gone, but for me the weirdest shop at our downtown mall was the Thomas Kinkade "gallery." The interior was paneled with mahogany-like wood and had dark green wall-to-wall carpeting. The *paintings* were hung in nicer frames than they deserved with a gallery light illuminating each one. To me, the lights looked like halos, signifying the sainthood of each of the pieces of crap. I hope Kinkade is condemned to an eternity as understudy to Walter Keane, making those effing big-eyed waif paintings.
As for the Shanghai opium den dress boutique, I've been taught to beware of a store where you can't clearly see the merchandise.
I'll admit I'm not one to quickly form opinions about these things. I would have to see how it feels for a while to even notice if I like it or not. I would make a terrible judge as I've not got a super discerning eye. I do like how the Mac store looks like a compy. Macs are still cool even if you say they are going too public. J would probably agree with you as a Mac loving opinion former himself. ;)
Speedway, you'll give me nightmares!
Thomas Kinkade is indeed in Hell right now: his own personal Hell where he is being shown over and over again precisely how much artistic merit his "works" possess. It's heartbreakingly cruel, but Hell: that's Hell for you.
Shan, I think anything would struggle to look cool next door to an Apple Store, so perhaps they've made the right decision in going crazy; it certainly got my attention.
I rarely go to our mall, but it probably has something equally as tacky. We do have a few tacky "theme" restaurants that feature a faux western/country decor.
The Apple store looks so sleek.
Ms.M. I get sucked into this mall because it's where the Apple Store is. I've not been in the other shops and would definitely never eat in a mall. Eww.
I think a country themed food outlet in a mall would crack me right up.
Dive, you should take a trip to Las Vegas once.
Hollister. It's a clothing store for teens, particularly anorexics ones. The front is like a shanty with a thatched roof, and it's so dark inside, you can hardly see your hand in front of your face. this makes me sound really old.
Vanda, I used to go to Vegas on the PS3 in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and that was more than enough for me.
Robyn, I feel just the same way. I have to buy my 501s mail order these days as I can't be seen walking into the Levi shop in the mall. Too awful.
It is very nice post ... thanks for sharing.....this information ....
