I'm way too busy to write anything coherent, let alone ranty today, so here's a photo of the rear end of Westminster Abbey in the rain yesterday to illustrate the joys of an English summer.
For anyone remotely interested, if you threw a rock over the tree on the left you'd probably break a window in my office … unless you throw like a girl.
Normal service will be resumed tomorrow.

Hey there disco boy, I knew some girls who could throw a rock pretty darn good.
I enjoy your photos btw
i was going to say..."if i threw that rock, it would hit the side of your head, as well" ;-) but, bless his heart, rich saved me from being unladylike in my comments, sugar! xoxoxo
*snickering* ^5, rich
(how's your foot, darlin)
Much better, thanks, Savannah.
"You throw like a girl" is a movie quote, so please don't hit me in the head with a rock over it!
Hee hee.
Wow...I must have walked right by your office when I was there.
I throw like a sissy boy. Never developed that lesbian softball arm.
I throw like a girl so your office is safe. Terrific pic.
I had to laugh at your description of the photo being the "rear end of Westminster Abbey." Is that the typical British English way to describe the back of a building? Really nice photo, even if the weather stinks! Probably better you didn't wear fuzzy slippers, that would have been sad to imagine you walking around London in wet soggy slippers. Glad to hear your foot's feeling better!
Of course i throw like a girl!
Shazza: I had a feeling you were pretty close, but I was working from home in Norfolk that day.
Doh!
Mme: When you come over in August you can go kick the building instead.
My foot says "Thank you, Katie."
And I would have written the "arse end" of the Abbey but I'm trying to have a non-sweary day (fat chance).
Lynn: I am so glad to hear that.
Yes i'm rather proud of it too! lol.
Hee hee
I actually do throw like a girl, which is a good thing since I AM a girl.
he he i'm still languishing at the disco of yesterday and yesteryear. It's too good to not add comments. In Lurex halter-top of course. Oh how i wore that top out! It was bra-less too i recall! Goodness. Imagine.
Throw like a girl - you mean if I threw one it'll hit you right on the head? :-)
Dive a Crap Town has surfaced near your neck of the woods. Your confirmation or denial would be amusing over at mine please?
You are, Robyn. And very cute, too with that big old ball.
Lynn! You strumpet!
Hee hee hee. Talk about jiggling around on the dancefloor.
Joy: Yup. A bullseye every time.
Lynn: If it's Dereham, Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, Swaffham or any one of a dozen others I woulld not be in the least surprised. I'll pop over and take a look.
a league of their own by any chance? ;-)
Gosh - if had only known when I was there last at that very spot, I could have asked a nice gentleman to throw a rock for me
(i do throw like a girl!!)and we could have gone out disco-ing!!!
You lost me there, Savannah.
I looked it up. Wow! A movie about female baseball players! Cool!
Baseball and American Football aren't played outside the States (except in places you invaded like Japan), so movies about them don't play over here.
Jules: Gentlemen don't "disco". Hee hee.
Well then Mr Disco - you need educating and I'm just the gal to do it!!!
Hee hee hee.
Educate me, Jules!
All those precise English lines....
