I'm still brain-dead with nothing in my head worth writing about, but at least I am feeling a bit better this evening.

I've always loved this girl's accent.
Perhaps my Colonial friends can tell me which part of the Colonies she hails from? She mentions Arizona but I don't know American accents from a hole in the ground.

I have no idea where she's from. When I hear someone who doesn't seem to have an accent, I assume they are from the west but not southern California.

I don't hear much an actual identifiable accent. She just sounds like of spacy to me. But maybe that's because she's talking about clouds. I spent my early childhood in Indiana, which is known for it's flat accentless-accent, and I spent a few years in Kentucky, where I learned a bit of the Southern accent, although I only trot that out when I've had too many mint juleps. And of course you know about my years in Minnesota. Mostly I've lived in places without much of an accent. My friend John (of today's birthday fame) is from near Boston, and I tease him to no end about his Boston accent, whereby he drops R's and adds them back in where they don't belong. There was a great public TV show years ago called I think The Story of English that traced a lot of accents in the U.S. Fascinating stuff, if you're into that.
"like of spacy"? Sheesh, talk about an airhead! I meant to say that she just sounds kind of spacy.
Hee hee. Anyone living where you do can get away with talking spacy, Katie.
The Boston accent is almost identical to my local accent as most of the original Bostonians came from within a few miles of here.

Nice relaxing music; she just sounded American to me, but I think the southern drawl is amazing. Remember "In the heat of the night", with Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger. The supporting actors had great Mississippi accents.
dancing while preparing dinner...I'd say you were doing very well. so I'm not the only person dancing while doing chores around the house. knew there was more in common than the level of expressive language supplements :)

I meant to chime in my Colonial opinion on the accent but I'm coming up with "no accent" in my data bases. She just sounds a little stuffed up to me.
I DID love hearing that song again though Dive! My cool music finding friend used to play that for me back in college. And I still think of that girls non -accented voice saying "fluffy clouds" in that dreamy way when the sky looks extra cotton ball-ish. Now I'm starting to sound like the airhead I tend to be, so off I go. Happy Monday?
She hits her b's and p's pretty hard and doesn't drop her g's....so I am assuming she is from the southwest, probably from a city like Phoenix or Albuquerque.
