I hadn't noticed until I looked at yesterday's photo, but it appears to have a kind of cheesy, Las Vegas, Circus-Circus tent affair plonked on the roof; probably where they perform sacrifices.
So next time you're in London, steer well clear of the Dark Tower.

Criminy, Dive, that is scary. It reminds me of one we have here, not nearly as large, of course, but all pointy and angled. It has the scary bits of movie set Gothic, looming and threatening the minions below.
Mitt the Twit was heard yesterday telling a group of businessmen/workers that employers can "advise" the workers about whom they should vote for. The Citizens United act, which gave corporations "personhood," also gave them the right to advise on voting. We're screwed, Dive.
It looks a lot like a modernized version of other dark towers you guys already have. At least the plumbing is much better, I bet.

The whole world is screwed if the Republicans get in again, but unfortunately your government won't let the rest of us vote in your elections, even though the results cause mayhem in our countries, so it's all down to you guys.

Oooh, modern Gothic. An interestingly scary combination.
Ms.M. London is replete with spirits and ghosts; tiny, hidden Dickensian graveyards, dungeons, torture chambers, gallows yards, plague pits (and a recently discovered dump of hundreds of dismembered corpses behind one of the teaching hospitals that employed grave-robbers and murderers to provide it with corpses for dissection). Jack the Ripper stalked its streets and the literary ghouls of Sikes and Fagin prowl the alleys at night.
The modern horrors of corporate fascism would do well to lock themselves securely in their Dark Tower this coming month and not venture out on All Hallows' Eve. They plague us enough the rest of the year.
Petrea, it's a fascinating building, but I cannot help but think it was designed specifically to appear evil. Wolfram and Hart would love the place (a reference likely to be lost on all but Buffy fanboys … sorry).
Just yesterday I heard the story of the graveyard discovery on the radio. I'd love to take an architectural tour of London with you, Dive, and I hope you'd add all the horrid touches of dungeons, graveyards and torture chambers.
