I've posted it before, a long time ago but I make no apology for posting it again here as an antidote to all the crap in the previous two days' posts.

And to cheer you up still more, here's a lovely song from Crowded House: "There Goes God."
I love the lines:
"Cos I'd like to believe,
That there is a God,
Why sinful angels,
Suffer for love.
I'd like to believe
In the terrible truth,
In the beautiful lie …"
and …
"Hey!
Don't look now, but there goes God,
In His sexy pants and his sausage dog,
And He can't stand Beelzebub,
'Cos he looks so good in black …"
Yay!

he he funny!
I'm amazed you have a cartoon on your bathroom wall. There is no end to the mystery of what is and is not allowed into the Dive household.
Great new photo, Lynn!
Fun!
Why be amazed at my cartoon? You know I love comic books. Kyle Baker (who drew this one) is an excellent artist and this particular cartoon helps me put things into their proper places when the alarms wake me at 4:40 AM and I stumble to the bathroom.
And there's no mystery about my house: the ground floor is all stuffy leather books and 200 year old paintings and a saggy and very traditional sofa and upstairs is all modern art and weird shit, plus the recording studio and the gym (with my two Gilbert and Georges watching me sweat it out). Oh, and there's a bed up there somewhere, too.
Very amusing cartoon. I always try my best to not worry, so does that makes me more like the other creatures? I can't seem to get the Crowded House YouTube video to play here at work, but I have the Woodface CD here, so I'll put that on right now and sing along. If you know me why don't you tell me what I'm thinking.
Bummer about the video, Katie, but at least you have the album, which has some even nicer songs on it.
Trying not to worry about it all is good.
And I wish I could tell you what you're thinking, but if it is anything like your post today it would involve a Finnish child-seller and scary costumes, so it's probably best I don't go there.
lol well no surprises that you appreciate cartoons but having them on your wall kind of surprised me. I thought that anything non-intellectual would be banished from adorning the structures of your abode. lol! Or, that something LESS than 200 years old would dare to make itself known within. Er.. barring you, natch. x
oh.....and.........thanks! My hair's really short now and I'm getting used to it. The flicks - and some extra eyeliner - are to stop me being alarmed at feeling like a blokie - I'm not at all used to short hair. It was a rash decision and the jury's out.
i like the description of your home! it fits the image i have of you perfectly! xoxoxo
I love Crowded House. And that comic.
One of my all time favorite songs is "Don't Dream it's Over" by Crowded House. Cartoons in your bathroom? Why not. Funny stuff Dive. Without a good deal of humor life would be quite boring.
I always pictured God as a woman. I am sure that if Christ returns she will be black, lesbian, a single mother of a child with disabilities. The idiots who are waiting for a bearded caucasian man will not accept her, just as the Pharisees did not accept Jesus.
Ah the old ones are the best: When God made man She was only joking.
Truly wonderful....
Hello"Dive"Buon fine settimana a te.
Vow!no commute for you for two happy days. I had a friend who,
when working late in London, often spend the night in a favorite hotel which is the Hoxton,
very reasonable for the amount you spend and very good, with free wifi, free fresh milk in the fridge
and bottles of water free in the fridge. I don't know where is the Hoxton and in which neighborhood it is.
That really surprised me and I
remember it because it is said
the hotels in London are very expensive and you have to pay extra for wifi. My curiosity:please
do you know where is the Hoxton?
It is said ALL is very expensive in London, isn't it? Except of course, squatting in Mayfair.(there a "block" on my computer.I hope my comment could be posted)1 2 3 times
If God exists, young Dive, you are the person he is least likely to summarily smite in retribution for blasphemy (and other sundry crimes) against His Supreme Holiness. You're so much of a thorn in his side in this life that I'm sure he's postponing your dispatch to the next one for as long as possible! {;-})
Lucio might be right, Dive. Did you ever consider that if you don't cut this shit out, you might just live FOREVER?
hee hee hee
Hee Hee Hee
Great Eternel Dive/Great Eternel X
for Eternity! What a shooting-duel!
I'll buy a ticket for The Show.
Lynn: I am decidedly not an intellectual! What I am, however, is a fan of long hair (hee hee) through your new cut looks pretty sassy so that's cool.
Savannah: You mean totally schizo? Hee hee.
xoxoxo
Sassy: Me, too. You should check out some other Kyle Baker stuff; he draws beautifully and he's a hoot.
Mark: Without humour, my life would be pretty damned unbearable.
Neetzy: Jesus returned a couple of years back, only He made the mistake of being a bearded middle-eastern guy again and was last seen wearing orange in Gitmo.
Lynn: When God made man, she must have been suffering totally shitty PMT (PMS for our Colonials) because she REALLY got nasty with some of the stuff she lumbered us with.
What a be-hatch!
Maria: I truly am. Hee hee.
Anonymous: Hoxton is completely the other side of the city from my office and is now being "gentrified" so prices there are skyrocketing (it's near the 2012 Olympics site). London is insanely expensive and it is also too noisy to sleep there so I don't.
Lucio (and T): I have considered this before. Many times I've railed at the Bearded Old Bastard that when I die I'm gonna come upstairs and kick his ass so fucking hard! So perhaps He's keeping me alive out of spite.
T: If I do live forever it will be pretty conclusive proof that the Old Bastard really does exist, which will make me even angrier.
Anonymous: I hope you get a ringside seat. I'll kick that fucker's arse!
On the english dictionary' I find
"kiss my..." not kick???
Hee hee, Anonymous! I certainly won't be doing any ass-kissing, that's for sure.
