Bob from Hibbing has certainly stood the test of time. Until recently I had no idea that you were a Dylan fan, Dive. The next time you are in MN. we will go take the tour of the house Dylan lived in. Hibbing is an old iron ore mining town in northern MN. Robert Mondovi of wine fame was also born and raised in that area.
ps I have two words for Geo. W. Bush - Good riddance.

I have a soft spot for Minnesota; I think a diet of Dylan, Lake Wobegon and Fargo might have given me a twisted perspective but it's definitely somewhere I'll visit when I eventually get to the States.
Which of course is suddenly an attractive destination once more after your regime change. yay!

As for Masters of War; that was written in 1963 and not just Bush but every administration since then (with the possible exception of Jimmy Carter) has not learned a darned thing.
Give the lyrics another listen and this time don't bother to wacth the frankly "unsubtle" video. It is a truly awesome song.
I was lucky enough to get home and watch most of the inauguration and I think the ending of the eulogy was a revelation."the brown can stick aroun, the yellow will be mellow" and all the time that oaf Bush sat there wondering why someone took away his toys. Twat.
For the first time for as long as I can remember, I think I want to visit the States now.
This is the ultimate realisation of the American dream, so good luck to President Obama and whatever happens, the world was made a little better by the events in Washington yesterday.
He seems to be having a pretty good first day. Suspending the illegal military tribunals at Gitmo is a decent start.

I am so thrilled that Bush is gone. I was reading an article today about how he is just not getting many book deal offers. Now...Laura, on the other hand, has had many, many offers already.
