Let's Make A Racket - XVII

It's Thursday so it must be time to make another racket.

Inspired by the example of the Trachtenburgs in yesterday's post I dug up this little gem:
A sleazy mess of shambolic cacophony that brings a hitherto unattained level of incompetence to the term "untogether".
We were having fun, though. Can you tell?
This crappy track exemplifies all that I love about sanity bands. We are simply a bunch of musicians in the same room having a whale of a time.
Ah, the sheer, childish joy of not giving a fuck.

I give you Michael, Steve, Dave, Laurie and myself, down at the blues club, stumbling and lurching our joyfully befuddled way through "Waiting On You."

I do enjoy getting a compliment from someone with such impeccable musical taste as yours, Prudence. Cheers!

Yep; I can definitely tell you were enjoying yourselves.
Thursdays wouldn't be the same without your wreakly wrackets, old son. Cool !!

Only had time to listen to the first minute...but yes, it was just what I needed to haul my ass out of bed.

I'll be back.

I can definately tell you were all enjoying that immensely (sp?).
How / what did you use to record it - it's a very clear sounding production. Please spill the beans to an old anorak.
Yours,
Mr O Anorak.

Mister Anorak:
That was an old Tascam Porta 02 4-track cassette recorder I used to have. I wish I still had the thing, it takes ten seconds to set up where my studio takes a whole day.

I think I'm suffering from racketomania. Whew! That was one hell of a brilliant "shambolic" mess. I had to wait until past halfway to hear your guitar solo but it was worth it Dive. Fantastic! I'm a bit worried about being put down if it happens again though! I was home tonight (well last night now) by 10.30 pm. It's true, I promise.
Yay for Thursdays. :)

Hee hee. Thank you, Mme. You are too kind. I prefer racketomania to racketophobia.

This was fabulous, Dive.
Just fabulous.

Thank you, T. "Messy" was the word I would have used, though.

I am sitting here with Blues Traveler thumping away but I will turn it off and listen to your Wacky Wracket!!!

I have a friend you would love - he has a blues band of old farts called Silver Hair (as apposed to Silver Chair)

Have a great weekend Dear Dive!!!

Actually, Savannah, it's more of a "Stay out late again and I'll shoot you" song, but I admit it's rather a jolly one.
xoxox

Jules: He sounds just the sort to sit in at the blues club.
Hoorah for old fart musicians.

Oopsie, my RSS feed seems to have gone on the blink so I'm late checking around. It did seem strange that not even the daily bloggers wrote a post all Thursday. I thought it was one of those cosmic accidents. Turns out it's not cosmic or accidental. I'm just late to the party. At least I walked in snapping my fingers.
It's Friday you made it through another busy week!! :)

Rich: Guess where we're off to at the weekend? Yup. Silverstone, where Phil has got us a couple of VIP passes to the Silverstone Classic race meeting.
So much more car porn coming up.

Hi, Shan! I have no idea what an RSS feed is. It sounds like something I could pick up at an agricultural supply store here in farming country.
Pray enlighten a dumb hick Englishman.

What have you naughty kids been up to while I've been stuck on my train?
Fess up, Shazza!
Hee hee.
