Now there's a combination that I never seem to get right …
Anyhoo … Hoorah for Squeaky Kate!
We get shedloads of chocolates sent in at Christmas from contractors and suppliers (unfortunately, because we are mostly staffed by weemen, they send chocolate rather than booze, dammit).
Usually these get carted off by management and we don't get a sniff of 'em.
This year, however, Squeaky Kate kicked up a stink and management have grudgingly handed back enough for us to have a box each.
This morning at coffee time - good girl that she is - Squeaky Kate organised a chocolate lottery (woohoo)!
How utterly civilised.
Did I win one of the several boxes of yummy Green and Black's?
Did I buggery …
Old Dive has won a box of "Eden, by Thorntons" "Divinely Sinful" choccies.
They come in the gayest shocking pink box imaginable; one that would have Waylon Smithers squealing with delight; and consist of the flavours: "Original Sin", "Lust", "Desire", Passion", "Temptation", "Obsession" and "Seduction"; flavours which are of course synonymous with fat, ugly, balding middle-aged men like myself.
Before handing over the box, Squeaky Kate read out the flavours so that all the girls could point and laugh at me.
Being old and saggy sucks in a roomful of young girls.
I'm going to go home and pig the whole damned box.

Cheer up hun, this whole christmas caper can't last much longer, only about a week and a half more and the world will go back to normal.
Your not saggy and old, your Dive, the one and only.
Hey Dive, old son,
If you break out with teen-age acne, we'll know who has been telling us porkies, cobber !
Get in to it, I say.
So, what does Original Sin taste like? Being raised a proper Baptist, I have always wanted to know.
Kate: Cheers! Roll on January!
Monsieur B: If I eat all that chocolate, acne will be the least of my problems.
Robyn: Oh, hee hee hee!
I'll let you know when I've sampled it's delights.
"fat, ugly, balding middle-aged men"... let's be honest, they're not all bad features. In fact I'd rule a man out on only one of those counts. And that count doesn't apply to you anyway!! Hope you enjoy the chocs - See you very soon. x
I've been feeling the same way dive. Although most of the time mentally I still think I'm 25. That must be why I get so many strange looks from the young weemen.
Pea: you're too sweet.
Give me a ring and I'll put the kettle on.
Rich: A handsome devil like you should be smothered in mistletoe at this time of year.
Dive & Scout - I think the taste of Original Sin is over-rated!!! Give me a good BLTA anytime!!
I prefer experienced, been around the block a few times, worked out the kinks already sin.
Green is for the environment.
Dammit. All the other titles I could have gone without, but then you said Seduction and I'm hunting for the chocolate. Bring it on.
sugar, you are adorable! ;-)
It amazes me that I don't have to be rolled around by January. We currently have a box of orange slices dipped in dark chocolate, peppermint bark, divinity, date filled cookies, divinity and fudge. All given to us by friends and family.
And I have promised Liv to spend Friday baking traditional Christmas cookies with her, the kind that you make into shapes and frost with lots and lots of powdered sugar/cream/vanilla frosting.
I can't figure out why I am not in a diabetic coma just smelling the damn things....
Jules: It may be over-rated, but what exactly does it taste like? Chicken?
T: I dunno; I kinda like those kinks.
Vic: I've never understood this thing with chocolate and sex. The mess in the sheets must be appalling.
Savannah: You're too sweet.
Maria: Hokay … something else I need translated for my transatlantic dictionary:
"Divinity"
What the heck is that? I've heard about it in old Charlie Brown strips but I have no idea what it is.
Please enlighten an old fool.
I was hoping you'd save some to share with moi!
