Roll on January.
Here I sit, listening to the fucking singing reindeer belting out "We Wish You A Merry Fucking Christmas" a la Barney Gumble, while the girls squeal and run around and giggle and festoon one another with tinsel and it's only nine o'clock.
Groan …
Four more days of this.
Now I know why people jump under trains.
And also why they make tinsel non-flammable these days, damn them!
At least I've had a couple of hours of cynical comedy podcasts on the train to fortify me.
Good old Steve Punt (who I often see loitering around Wimbledon tube station in a manner not really befitting a radio comic) cheered me up no end by explaining how to play "Bedroom Rodeo" …
"When making love to your wife/girlfriend, call out her sister's name at the height of passion …
… and then see how long you can stay on for."
It's probably an old joke but it made me chuckle.
Whether or not it will keep the festive misery at bay all day I shall just have to wait and see.
Sigh …

Laughed out loud at the read of several of your last posts.
- gay snowman (what's gay about him?): nice boots and cute butt... well nice boots I'm sure you still have!
- sex, young girls and chocolate aaaah what a good one
Re today's post: Why "four more days like this"? is your Xmas day ahead of ours?
Hi, Nathalie.
The snowman is wearing my grandmother's fur stole and hat. Of course I didn't realise at the time how gay this was.
And I have four more days to endure the giggly and over-excited girls at the office before my Christmas break.
Whew!
Groan.
Good luck with the hols. I'd suggest dating through them, but you have the mystery girlfriend.
As festive as I can be this time of year, I'll agree the reindeer needs to die, and tinsel is tacky, and squeaky girls are annoying. I suppose your crankiness.
I assume the mystery girlfriend isn't a tinsel-wearing, squeaky, reindeer loving woman. Maybe she can be the antidote.
I do indeed, young Sassy.
Have you noticed how much less grouchy I am than this time last year?
She likes Christmas and has a lovely tree, Robyn.
Opposites attract.
Ah, the eloquent erudition of the nether continent.
Well, calling out your dog's name would be scarier....
