A foreign office minister was on the news this morning, criticising China's investment in Africa. Apparently, us Brits are accusing the Chinese of using Africans as cheap labour and taking all the profit out of the continent …
Er … choke on my coffee or what?
Hoorah for hypocrisy. That's probably the most jaw-droppingly unbelievable example in history of the pot calling the kettle black (seems we've forgotten the slave trade, apartheid and our Imperial rape of an entire continent) …
Not to be outdone, the US is blaming Syria for attempting to destabilise Lebanon.
Those Lebanese that Israel left alive must be laughing hysterically in their bomb craters, as the Republicans search desperately for new enemies to scare voters with in the run up to tuesday's bunfight.

I used to have a keen interest in politics to the point of fantasizing about holidng office myself (I know, some people fantasize about personal delectable things--I think about being elected mayor). Anyway, over the last few years I have decided to focus my energy on the human element of things--the smaller personal relationships and endeavors.
I like to remember that as ugly as politics is today, it was ugly hundreds of years ago as well--nothing new under the sun and all that.
Absolutely!
And Mayor Robyn sounds nice. I'd happily live in that town.
Oh dear. Love the hypocrisy of politicians.
Robyn, I'd vote for you. You better stop commenting on Knudsen's page. :)
No squirrels in the attic, no drunks peeing in the parking lot outside the bar district, and plenty of pretty pretty trees.
Hmm. I feel a blog subject coming...help, I can't stop dreaming about my own town.
Look out, Hillary, there's a new girl in town …
Ms. Mayor, your public is waiting.
