The New Bond

Just been over to The Other Girl's blog to put the case for Stephen Fry as the "Sexiest Man Alive".

George Clooney, my arse!

Norfolk's own hunk of gorgeousness could lick Clooney any day (and probably would).
Watch Wilde again. Watch the man on QI. Listen to him speak. Peer inside the biggest brain on the planet. Dribble down your cardie as he turns those piercing eyes your way. Revel in the wit and charm of the only possible contender* for the title: "Sexiest Man Alive".

And while Daniel Craig (the blonde Bond … "We expect you to dye") may well have worked out a bit, there is only one man truly born to play Bond (in much the same way as he was born to be Wilde).
Blofeld would have never stood a chance against such übercool rapier wit.

Genefluct unworthily in his general direction.
Laydees and gentlemen. Stephen Fry. Sexiest Man Alive. No contest.

* Runners up: Old Knudsen and Eddie Izzard.

At least I got a mention, I'm just happy to be on the team, of course now I must kill Jeeves.

It was a close decision, but I had to hand it to Stephen as he only lives just down the road and he's bigger than me.

But how do you explain the tea adverts?

I am with Miss Snark, I'm afraid. George Clooney is a stunner (and a very liberal do-gooder, so I don't have to feel guilty about it).

If George didn't exist, however, I suppose I'd go for Stephen. Brad doesn't do it for me.

I'm glad George exists.

Eddie Izzard, however, actually might top Stephen now that I think about it. Eddize Izzard is smart and looks good in a dress. Maybe he is sexier than George Clooney?

Knudsen, you are sexy too, OK?

Kaz: I like tea.

And yes, Sassy; I can see why the girls go for George, and Eddie does look fabulous in a dress, but it's the MIND of Mr. Fry that swings it.

What can I say? You like skinny girls in stripey tights, I like George Clooney.

Skinny, fat, short, tall … just girls in general; as long as they've got attitude. Can't stand the drippy ones.

I'm with you on Stephen Fry, Dive. He can read me a bedtime story anytime - but then he probably wouldn't see the point.

Hee hee, Sweet Pea.

You used to live only two minutes walk from his house; you should have popped round and asked him.

I made an absolutely hilarious comment about George Clooney and my arse earlier but Blogger ate it.

Trust me, it was the fuinniest thing you ever read.

Oh well.

I trust you, Ms. Mac.

Stephen Fry. He's the one who's not House, right?

dive said...

er … I have no idea.
I assume this is a telly thing?

That was a joke. Though, not a good one, evidently. Hugh Laurie plays an ill-tempered doctor named House on the FOX network (I can almost say "the FOX network" without laughing these days). I've never seen the show myself, although I understand that Laurie is something of a sex symbol here now, despite the fact that he appears to be severely hyperthyroid.

My moneys on eddie izzard. never seen a man look so damn good in platform heels and a bustier.

Yikes!
Hugh Laurie, a sex symbol?!?!
Sorry about the telly thing; I didn't have one for fifteen years and now I just have one for watching the news and old movies, but it only picks up four channels and I'm not paying for satellite or cable.
So I'm kind of telly illiterate.

Tai: Eddie has a beard now.
