Nothing like shots of roll bars and helmets beetling along at 200 or so MPH. At the Speedway, or any other track, you have to sit high if you want to see actual cars actually racing. People sometimes think that racing isn't well attended because the seats aren't full to the gills, but it's because people know to sit in the higher seats both to watch the cars and, in the case of dirt tracks, in order to avoid being hit by clods of clay.
Words of wisdom from one who knows, Speedway. For this shot I was just hanging around in the paddock, waiting for Phil to come back from swanning off with the drivers (as per). Not a position I would naturally have chosen but at least it sounded good with the F1 cars screaming past.

You have to admire the quality of the panning, even if you can't see what I was trying to photograph.
