I like the way the tree has been trimmed. I bet the lady of the house stays thin with continuous dusting and eternal waxing! Tonio, I need a latte. XD
Don't the pine trees have shallow root systems, though? Over here, I've seen trees knocked down by a wind storm or fallen over from the weight of ice on their limbs. Some get broken off about two-thirds up. Those that can be saved are propped up and stabilized with cables until they re-set themselves.
I always loved this image, thanks to my big Brother for teaching me to poke my nose where nobody else ever bothers to look. The rewards are sometimes worth the strange looks and comments from everyone else. ("What IS he doing climbing up there to look out of that little window"). Shame about the transmitter but they wouldn't move it and I don't have Dive's skills with photoshop.
Hahahaha! Hoorah for Mister Obvious. Those have made me giggle rather too much than is wise just before I go to bed. I think I'll grin myself to sleep. Nighty-night.

Ah, the pines of Rome! I have no absolutely trouble at all in understanding why Respighi felt compelled to write an ode to them.

Yeah, but Speedway, you live in serious weather.
I don't know, I was thinking of moving to southwestern England. Then I thought maybe Paris. Perhaps I was wrong and it should be Rome.
How 'bout moving to any one of those areas, with frequent forays to the other two?
Always a wonderfully uplifting piece to listen to, Lucio.
Speedway, the lady of the house is ol' Ratzinger himself; this is in the Vatican Gardens.
Pines have a tap root so it takes some serious weather to knock them over. We only have wimpy weather in Europe so they're fairly safe.
Petrea, move to Paris. You'll be midway between England and Italy and I'll be able to pop across the Ditch and visit you.
Speedway, see above.

Actually, I didn't think to remove it. I wonder if removing it in Photoshop would cut off Vatican Radio? Might be fun to try.
Radio Ratzinger - 666 FM
There's something to ponder.
You should start writing jingles now.
Aww, he's not all bad. He may be an ex.Nazi in control of a bunch of kiddie-rapists and hate-mongering bigots but apparently he's really fond of cats.
Hahaha! Dive'n'Ratz in the Morning!

Maybe we should move to Paris. But could we pick up Dive & Ratz In the Morning show from that far away??
BTW, superb photo!
And would Dive & Ratz even broadcast en Francais?
Ms.M. I think we should ALL move to Paris. Relocate Blogville there.
Petrea, his French is almost as bad as mine.
