So Much For Summer

September? Which idiot let that in here?
Well, so much for Summer.
To set the tone for the season to come, here are some horse chestnut and plane trees changing out of their Summer clothing on the Canal Saint-Martin in Paris.

A boat and a canal lock -- now that's the kind of porn I like, Dive!

Too bad about summer, except for the daggone heat.

Ah, you stern-wheelers are easy to please.
Yup, glad to see the back of the icky, sticky heat. Autumn is nice for those of us who like to breathe.

I'm actually looking forward to fall. As much as I have enjoyed this summer, fall colors and sweaters and food is nice, too.

I love fall. Last year the stinkbugs ruined it for me. I'm hoping for a better year.

We get autumn, contrary to popular belief. It just comes really, really late. It's still summer here and will be for another couple of months. No complaints.

That's a pretty picture, Dive.

I'm with you there, Robyn.

Neetzy, may you have a stinkbug-free fall this year.

Thanks, Petrea. September in Pasadena must be idyllic. Way up here in the north the nights are already drawing in.

September's actually our hottest month. I don't recommend it.

Yikes! Roll on October.

Excellent photo! We're starting to see signs of fall here, but we're still in for some hot weather, summer's last gasp.

Here too, Ms.M. It was stupidly hot last night, yet only the day before I had to put the heating on for a few hours to stop my nose freezing.
