This is England, Speedway: land of the brolly. We make Seattle look parched. Giant fluorescent tubes hanging from the sky would certainly help us find our way around.
Yup, that always bugged me about American State Capitol buildings: the US was founded on principles that included keeping church and state separate and the first thing they do is build fake churches to house the politicians. Weirdos.

It's a dark, dark day in London when they need to hang fluorescent (sky)lights above the Cathedral so people can find their way.

Grand view!
The "light bars" remind me of alien spacecraft silently coming in to scope out the city. (I know, I know; too much coffee again....)
Last time I check in, earth was being invaded by giant mosquitoes. Now it's the ghost of Dan Flavin!
You can never have too much coffee, Ms.M. Or indeed too many alien invasions. The world would be a much duller place without cheesy B movies.
Nice association, Lucio. A virtual Dan Flavin installation in the window of the modern art gallery.
Weren't you afraid of getting arrested? "Enjoying a black americano" in public? Me, I take them home (hee hee)..just sayin!
Did you say smug and warm?
Prudence, you are incorrigible! Hee hee.
Petrea, I was snug and warm until I went back outside. Hey ho.
For a second, I thought I was looking at the top of our Capitol building.
