Friday The Thirteenth Is My Lucky Day

Sheesh!
The servers at the orifice have been throwing shitfits all day and the train home was crap and late and now I have to go out and watch Tony's band ritually slaughter some songs that truly deserve more respect so today is a "no time to blog" day.

Thank goodness for my heroine Natalie Dee. She saves my bacon once again.

For those of you who think swearing is funny click here to discover what Old Dive really thinks about Valentine's Day.
And there's a SHOCK HORROR sequel to that very post coming up tomorrow.

Yay!
If you re-visit that old post in the link you'll find your last comment was a whole lot swearier than this one.
You're mellowing, Sassy. Stop it!

Ha ha hee hee. Well happy blippin' V day to you. Sorry it's been a crappy lead up. Why not meet up with some single friends on Saturday and pretend you love each other madly just for the weekend.

I'm not very good at being romantic but I thought I'd pull the ultimate sacrifice this year and take Jamey to a "delicious" sushi restaurant so he can properly pig out on his favorite foods. :)
He'll get me chocolate(hopefully) and make me a perfectly gorgeous homemade card. He works for Hallmark actually (a christian branch of it) and he makes way better stuff for me than I ever could pull off with my deluxe set of colored pencils so I think I'll buy his card as usual.

I think holidays like this are totally bogus but I play along anyway. Plus, I really just like chocolate. :)

Mmmm … Chocolate is goood, Shan.
So is sushi.
Probably best not to combine the two, though.
Have a sickeningly wonderful romantic weekend, the both of you.

Oh NO! You sound sad! If only I could play cupid in the UK! I know you're glad I can't though. :} Maybe you'll get an unexpected visitor to break up the mood of the unlucky Friday. You never know.

Your "no time for blogging" looks an awful lot like blogging to me, btw. You and Robyn. Baha

Well, as far as I'm concerned you're spending Valentine's Day morning with a fab goddess! :D

Love, I like. I just hate the way VD [sic] has gone and given it a bad name.

Shan: how can anyone be sad when there is chocolate in the world?
As for you playing cupid: who on earth would you find that you loathe enough to inflict me on them? Hee hee.

Joy: Darn tootin', missy! I shall have the pleasure of Norfolk's very own Goddess on Valentine's morning. Yay!
See you there!

Lucio: I think Valentine's Day has less to do with Love and more to do with Luurve.
Icky.

I am not mellowing. I've posted about porn and every post except the most recent one has had at least one swear in it.

Sigh... McIntriguing. Oh well. Have new date now. He's lovley. We're watching sci-fi tomorrow. Maybe some slasher.

I'm sending you a virtual box of delicious wasabe flavoured chocolate dearest Dive. Happy VD to you. Hee hee.
I received a beautiful bunch of flowers so I'm not complaining ... my hips can do without the chocolate :)

I love romance, Dive. Happy Valentine's Day.

Nothing says "I Love You" like a 24 oz. grill-smoked USDA Choice Porterhouse steak prepared medium-rare with a side of rissoto ala Dive,(thank you Dive) a nice Ceasar salad, and some al-dente broccoli rabe. Add a bottle of a good California Cabernet and I foresee some amimalistic sex in front of a roaring fireplace. I kinda like the Heart Holiday.

I heard that February 14th is also "Ferris Wheel Day".

The 12th was the 200th birthday of Darwin and Lincoln. Google chose to honor Darwin. I'm sure that ticked off a bunch of folks! (hee hee)

I kept an email I got from a friend on a February 14th long ago that started with something about having errands to run and ended with "fuck this day all to hell." To some it's a manufactured reminder of unhappy singlehood, to others it's a guilt trippy reminder to spend money. John and I don't buy gifts on Valentine's day, but it is nice to spend it together. Long way 'round to say I hear you.

"orifice" hee hee

Let's just ignore Valentine's day, and everyone will be the better for it.

Too bad I'll be in and out of airports all day tomorrow and will miss your annual V-Day rant. I'll be sure to check in as soon as I manage to find an internet connection! For Valentine's Day I was going to bring a bottle of 2007 Ménage à Trois Red from Napa Valley's Folie à Deux winery for the friends I'm visiting (the wine "examines what happens when you put three attractive, single, young grapes - Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet - in one bottle"), but I didn't want anyone to get any ideas, plus I never check luggage and the bottle has more than 3 oz. So I'm bringing their favorite CA chocolates instead.

Sassy: Yes, I remember all the "will she? / won't she?" nonsense with McIntriguing. That was fun.
So how's the new date working out? Valentine's slasher movies are a good sign.

Mme: Mmmm … Wasabi chocolates. My favourite. Thank you so much!
The flowers sound lovely but I would have expected a new Porsche at the very least.
And your hips are lovely. Hee hee.

Lynn: you are indeed one of a dying breed of non-cynical romantics. May you have a day filled with wine and chocolates and roses.

Mark: The meal and the wine sound fantastic, but I'm not sure about the rest; I don't do animalistic sex on a first date and I hardly know you!
I'm very flattered, though … Hee hee.
Have a wonderful day with your Valentine, my friend.

Neetzy: Happy Ferris Wheel Day! Yay!
I'm sure Google ticked off a bunch of folk in the US, but probably saved itself losing a few billion users to Yahoo in the rest of the world.
I celebrated both their birthdays as they are two of my favourite heroes.

Petrea: Have a wonderful day together in beautiful, sunny Pasadena.

Robyn: Are you laughing at my orifice? How rude! Hee hee
I find it difficult to ignore Valentine's Day as it's a good excuse for Dive to get angry.
This year I had honestly forgotten all about it (not watching TV I am spared the onslaught of marketing) until my card (or rather "Dive's card") arrived.
Now I am all of a tizz.

T: Those people are the last people on earth I'd want to fuck … er … well maybe Bush, Cheney and Rove would be further down the list.

Katie; Have a safe and delay-free flight to wherever your mystery vacation destination may be and have a totally wonderful break.
See you when you get back.

I have always thought Valentines Day was stupid. But, saying that...I actually bought both Liv and Bing big boxed of candy, so I am the stupid one.

dive said...

Hee hee, Maria Not stupid at all.
"Dive" might not agree but romance is pretty damned nifty.
