It's Thursday, so it must be time to make a racket.
Here's something short and silly while our Colonial friends are celebrating Thanksgiving.
Hey, Happy "We've Taken Their Food, Now Let's Take Their Land" Day, folks!
As you'll be eating that most ungainly fowl, I thought it only apt to share a couple of aural turkeys with you in the spirit of Thanksgiving.
Both tracks are from an old concert I played with Sharon and Rod; very much a "rackety raucous" kind of fun thing.
First up is Shazza belting out a mercifully brief version of Nutbush City Limits with Michael supplying the utterly hilarious keyboard solo.
Then it's one I've posted before, my awful demolition of Parisienne Walkway.

I'm rapidly running out of stuff to post, however. Most of my "sanity band" silly rackets were never recorded.
I do, however, have a whole bunch of them on video but having those transferred to DVD is a pain in the butt, plus I don't have the software to edit DVDs down into song length, postable clips.
If anyone has any idea how to do that, please let me know.
Mum: If ever I had my eyes closed on stage it was because I was (a) bored out of my tree, (b) having a cringe at the awfulness of it all, or (c) asleep.

I didn't know Shazza was part of your band! (Could there be another?) For some reason I couldn't open the first song, but I enjoyed your Parisienne awesomeness on the guitar!
Not to rub it in, but I am off work until Tuesday. (Central PA takes the first day of buck hunting season as an extension to the holiday). We never had that in Jersey.
Since you're too far away to stop by and help me peel potatoes today (I'm in charge of spuds, and boy am I going to make an artery clogging mashed potato casserole!), I'll happily let you sit in the corner and play Parisienne Walkway over and over and over. Love it! Perfect Racket to accompany this cook, that's all I know. Thanks!

Thanks, Lynn. I am just back from Japanese class so I will now go to bed and do the "eyes closed thing".
Had a giggle over the options as to why you might have closed your eyes on stage - hee, hee - not to detract in anyway from Alifan's memories though - they are obviously treasured and after listening to Parisienne Walkway, I can understand why. So easy to listen to and then revved up at the end - fabulous!
I tried to listen to Nutbush, I really did ... but I couldn't stand it. :)))
I really needed to hear some music right now, so thank you. Just got home after spending the entire day with my family....
