Stupid flowers … don't they know it's February?
For those of you labouring under snow in the Colonies: WHY?The Mother Country is nice and springy.
Today I'm working from home but I've got to mow my sodding lawns.There are daisies all over them!
Tomorrow, by the way, I may well post that God-awful photo of me in a ponytail.So be warned!

I don't regard you as the Colonies, but as a strange and wonderful place full of deadly spiders, bushfires and the weirder parts of my family who ran away there in the sixties.
I'm a child of the frozen north. The weather we have here today (high fifties Fahrenheit, sunshine and a cool breeze) is perfect for me. Especially as I've got to get out there and mow the lawns.

These floral photos are delightful, Dive. It's very windy here today so any flowers here are being blown about horribly. There are all early it's true.

I've done mine now and washed the car. It's lovely out there, if a little breezy.

re: lawn, actually believe it or not, it's still all squidgy underfoot, really squelchy Dive since the floods. Although it's all gone now, eight feet of lake water just twenty feet from my back garden at that time has seeped horribly underground. A few more good days of sun - though yesterday it poured - and i should be able to weild the mower without sinking lol!
Yea, nice guy,rub it in! We are expecting another 8-12" of snow tonight into tomorrow. I think spring may just give up.
Lynn: You are excused mowing until your lawn has dried out and recovered. If anyone complains I'll write you a note.

Having said that, when snow is as spectacular and beautiful as it is in your neck of the woods I can excuse it.
In Adelaide we're a little short on precipitation at this time of year so we don't stick together in the dry warmth. Our days are beautiful in (nearly) autumn. The acorns are falling and all is well with our world except for my hair - M.B will tell you that every day is a bad hair day for me - he liked it when it was about 2" long, not a mass of shoulder length unwieldy blonde.

Did you know there's a city called Soddy Daisy in Tennessee? (http://soddydaisy.org) I came across the name once and it's been taking up precious gray-matter ever since.
By the way, my store-bought hair has pretty much eliminated the scourge of bad hair days.
So that's what flowers look like...it's been so long here, I'd nearly forgotten.
We had a beautiful snow this morning, though. I wished I'd had my camera with me on my way to work, I would have shown you. I was working on a college campus today, though...best not to take cameras, etc. as they have a way of walking out of your bag.
Hahaha, leave the flowers alone, Dive. I will hurry back tomorrow to see your ponytail. :)
It's 2 days before my favourite month! So I am loving the flowers.
