The cloisters are currently closed for maintenance but I'll take some photos there later.

The cathedral has so many good photo ops, dive! And it's photogenic, too - or am I being unkind?
They're doing a lot of maintenance on it and there seems to be so many restricted places, but I do have a few photos of the cloisters and I am quite pleased with them. :D
How's the hand, or is it hands?
Re gritting pavements - you and Thom said the same thing. First I said you guys expect too much from your Council. It's Saturday, don't people need to take a break too even if they work for the Council? :p
And second, where's the fun in that? They probably think it's funny to see people falling on their bums and hurting themselves.

Why DO we laugh when people fall over? They could be seriously hurt, okay we usually check first, but then we are doubled up! What a strange lot we are. Bet YOU looked hilarious! he he
Hee hee. I looked particularly silly on my way down Rose Lane, Lynn. There's a big slope down to the road and traffic was heavy so I had to aim myself at a lamp post and slide down until I hit it to stop myself before I got run down.
Roll on spring.

It is! I like it under there. There's a big path around the side which most people take. I always go under the tree, though. I like to think only the interesting people go that way.
When you meet someone coming the other way you can't help but give a conspiratorial grin and say hi.

Stunning photos Dive - very Robin Hood in my mind. Can just imagine all of those terribly wealthy monks and tax collectors in medieval England.
If it makes you feel better, I took a huge tumble in my garden yesterday - nothing broken fortunately, just a few bruises - and we don't even have any ice. Some folks just trip over their own feet. Hee Hee.
