Lynn has once again laid down the gauntlet with her
lovely Cheltenham leaves.
So I had to suffer
Tube Hell again this morning to go leaf hunting in Green Park and St.James's Park on the way to work.

This is the best I could do, I'm afraid, so Lynn's Cheltenham leaves go unchallenged.
There's never any sunshine when you need it, dammit!

Everything is brown today, rather than gloriously autumnal.
Of course, now I am in the office the sun is shining but it's too bloody late.

As this is for Lynn, here's the Parasite House again; this time with those grumpy pelicans.

And some stupid pigeons pretending they grow on trees.

I LOVE the community of pigeons. Imagine what they're saying. hee hee
I could hear them. They were saying "Come and stand under this branch. We won't poo on your head … Promise!"
The last photo remind sme of the Roald Dahl book "The Twits" with the pigeons all glued to the branch
bah humbug!
when's the party gonna start?
You have pelicans?!? Well, that's fun
Oh what a bird is a pelican
His beak can hold more than his bellican
What he eats in a week he holds in his beak
And I'll be damned if I know how the hellican
(pelican poetry)
I think your leaves are fab Dive! Ok not quite as fab as Cheltenham's but heigh-ho (Dive is it heigh-ho or hey-ho, i just don't know and i'm panicking slightly)!
Very honoured indeed that you rose to the challenge and took another Parasite house photo for me - there i actually said it. It is really the residence of HM Queen Elizabeth - oh and that German bloke and lots of hangers-on. See we do meet on some areas Dive. lol. We could always bung in one or two more leaf photos couldn't we, you know have a running comp for the best? Yeah, you're right i've not much work today lol.
I love the pigeons and Terroni's pelican poem - we sing that here too!
Very fine autumn leaves there Dive; nearly as good as Lynn's.

Hee hee, Kate. I'd forgotten that.
Savannah, I've been waiting for a party for decades. I think they're going to start it just after I die.
T: We have wonderfully grumpy pelicans. They make even grouchy old Dive look a happy soul.
The best part is that they chase and bite children. I love that!
Lynn: I think you are right with heigh-ho. And yes, like Cheltenham Ladies, your leaves are the best.
I'll go looking for more when I see some sunshine.
Now get to work!
Mme: It's a great poem. And yes, I concede defeat to Lynn on the leaves.
"Well it's Lynn out in front at the moment but she's sensing Dive coming up on the inside with a fresh..."
Oh no i'd better stop there it's sounding too weird. Can't get to work, Dive, i have none today. Though, i am working tonight whilst you will be riding back on the long thin tin. Sunday too so can't complain really. Ho hum. Heigh ho. ... drums fingers......
Time to put the old "fiction" hat on, Lynn.
A short story would be nice.
Doh! I could have updated the novel. Or written a short story yes but instead i cleaned the house. Grr. Ah well there's a great new short story from Scout so get your reading glasses over there!
I think the photos are lovely, nevertheless. But, I AM heavily medicated and I tend to find everything just ducky about now.
What has a pelican got in common with the Phone Company?
They can both stick their bills up their arse.
Lynn: Yes, I love Robyn's stories. She is a natural; beautifully observed stories that seep in deep.
Maria: Don't Bogart that medication; pass it over here.
Phil: Hee hee. Loved your "leaf" comment on Lynn's post, too.
I agree with Kate - that is the first thing I thought of when i saw the birds!!!
Over here they sit in the trees and throw coconuts on top of your car!!!
Yow!
Here they just poo on your head and make sarcastic comments.
