February …
What the fuck's the point of February?
Just twenty-eight days of cold, miserable, shitty weather, broken down trains, twats who cough and sneeze and sniffle all over me on the tube, darkness, depression, howling gales, chipping ice off the car, inflated heating bills, more broken down trains, more fucking darkness and the unutterable misery of Valentines, the Hallmark Tax Day in the middle of it all.
And this year, some incompetent fuckwit decrees that we suffer an extra day of it!
Leap year my arse!
Just because some prehistoric dickwad couldn't count properly we have an extra day every fourth year.
How crap is that?
And couldn't we have it on the end of May, when the weather's nice?
Someone fucked up, that's for sure.
When I die, if it turns out there really is a God, I'm going to kick His arse so hard!
On the up side, that has to be my best post title since Iraqtile Dysfunction.

Iraqtile Dysfunction really was an instant classic.
Funny, I never thought about why we can't have this extra day at the end of May or even the middle of July. I'll have to read up on why that is, although with your encyclopedic mind, I'm sure you already know.
My mind has been called many things, Robyn; encyclopædic's a new one.
Do you mean that it's thick and stuffed full of useless information?
Dude - you KNOW I hardly ever disagree with you but February??? no, no, no.
What's good in February?
my birthday
Aquarius
Valentine's day
and this year - be careful, I may propose to you, it is leap year you know!!
If that didn't shut you up and won't get me a birthday greeting (just to keep my mind off the proposal) I don't know what will.
Hugs to you babe and think about how wonderful February is. About the dorks who sneeze and caugh into the world - I would love to carry a wadded up newspaper and smack them over the head - everyone of them.
Hi, Isadora!
Okay …
Your birthday: Great! Happy Birthday!!!! Yaaaay!
Aquarius: … er …
Valentines Day: No way!
If anyone gets down on their knee and proposes to me this year, they're getting a slap.
Thanks for the much needed hugs. And for the splendid new use for my morning newspaper. Hee hee.
Well, we are reigning champion of the gloom and doom, maybe i'll lend you my knudsen award.
Think of it this way, yes we all hate Valentines day, its a sucky bullshit commercial pain in the arse, but think of all of the vile vitriol you get to read come feb 14th.
Hugs, sounds like you need them right now.
"And couldn't we have it on the end of May, when the weather's nice"?
That's a good question dive I wonder - sounds like some kind of weather conspiracy if you ask me.
This post has to be up there with your most funny.
Yet another trip down misery lane with the bro.
Cheer up a little, I booked the Goodwood tickets last week so we can look forward to noise and oil and real racing cars in September!!!.
Plus you get to smirk about "good wood"!!!
Note : The Leap Year means that you work / travel for an extra day this month for no extra financial gain!!
Kate: Thanks for the hugs. XOX.
And you're right; 'tis the season to enjoy a good swearfest at Hallmark's expense.
Hee hee, Rich; a weather conspiracy theory! Excellent!
Phil: Fnarr, fnarr (that'll be lost on the Yanks).
Mike: Dammit! You're right!
Hey, I'm working from home tomorrow. Perhaps I'll just lay in bed all day and watch old movies.
Hee hee.
*sending you some georgia sunshine and warmth*
it will be over soon enough, sugar, i'm already thinking about march!
It is blizzarding out AGAIN. My back hurts. My windshield wiper decided to go whacko during rush hour and all I want is my bed and sleep. I HATE FEBRUARY.
The only saving grace is that Liv offered to take Socks outside, said that oatmeal sounded "yummy" for dinner and Bing told me to go to bed and let her do the shoveling tonight.
But, it is still fucking FEBRUARY. Pee butt February.
Well leap year is best known for women proposing to men isn't it... Just Sayin'.
Full you will have a great time and you brought back memories for me. I used to live IN Goodwood House!
Still grumpy??? How long does that last?
And yes, Virginia, there is a God. :)
Purpose of February, to pave the way for March and spring. Doesn't February bring you all sorts of hope? The crocuses and tulips and snowdrops have already made an appearance.

Savannah: Thanks for the sunshine and the warmth. You're right; March is just around the corner.
Bugger February!
Maria: We so need to go live somewhere warm. I think Bing and I should start a band in Hawaii or somewhere similar.
Lynn: Hee hee hee hee hee!
Your sense of humour is immaculate as ever.
And did you really live in the house? This is a tale that has to be told!
Joy: It's so far lasted almost fifty years and it has a way to go yet.
And if there IS a God, you better not stand too close to me in case he decides to hit the big red SMITE button.
Yes Dive i really did. It belongs to Lord March and we lived just to the side, same building as his front bit, but ours used to be the stables. The horses are still trained there, in the courtyard. Son no. 2 and i were talking about it yesterday actually. For them, it was fab as you can imagine, opening the front door and finding hundreds of acres to play in and a swimming pool. Here it is - ah those were the days, eh? lol. Things change.
