Seems like everybody's in Paris except me, dammit! Colin and Linda are over there for a long weekend and sent this back via Colin's phone (hence the fuzzies).
In case anyone needs confirmation that old men like to giggle at schoolboy humour, here's Colin in Rome, adhering to the dictum, "When in Rome, do what the Romans do: pee in the fountains and make little girls flee for their lives."
Or something.
Rome is currently bracing itself for Phil and Colin's next visit in February. Probably a good time to stay out of Italy if you don't want to get caught up in this type of behaviour. They'll be taking over comedy duties from Berlusconi.
We may grow older but we're damned well never going to grow up.
Happy Monday.

Hey grumpy-pooh, stop grumping and just hop on the train.
If you want to hear your girlfriend's best Flipper imitation, just tell her your taking her to "Fanny Fouk."
Right now the closest I'll ever be to Paris (and a custom-made bra from Alice Cadolle ) is the polyester Chantilly lace in the ones I have now and a small bottle of Veuve Clicquot from a local store. So, I'm with
Vanda...
GET ON THE TRAIN!
I'm still on three months probation for the new job, Vanda, otherwise I'd be over there like a shot. I think I'll wait for Spring now though as the weather is as sucky there as it is here.
Hee hee, Speedway! I'll get on the train soon. Thanks for the heads-up on Alice Cadolle; I'll get my man-boobs fitted up while I'm there.
Ask her for something in a nice masculine foulard print. Silk, of course.
I'll take anything that stops me jiggling when I run down stairs.
Actually, come to think of it I need a full-body bra for that.
"Jiggling"? there'a an app for that, so to speak ... Spanx for men.
Fanny Fouks is a designer/manufacturer of costume jewelry. Contemporary, reasonably priced stuff. It's sold on Ebay by a number of dealers.
Thanks for some laughs on a Monday. It is rather unsettling to see "Fanny Fouks" over a very large warehouse-looking door (when you don't have the inside scoop on Fanny Fouks like Speedway does) :-)
Ditto Vanda. Paris is close enough that you can go for a weekend, can't you?
Speedway, reasonably priced costume jewellery? What a disappointment that would be to walk into the shop expecting … er … something else.
Unsettling is definitely the correct word here, Ms.M.
Petrea, I could go for the day if I had money to burn, but after a year out of work I don't have money to even warm up, let alone burn.
Had I the groats I could leave the house at my old commuting hour, be in the Tuileries by half-ten, spend the whole day in Paris and not have to leave until around seven to get me home at midnight.
But I've got some saving to do first. Hey ho.
