Hahaha. Thanks for the Engrishy chuckle! I made my turkey for three people and it was wonderful. I didn't visit relatives. I spent the day in a T-shirt and yoga pants. My gravy was perfect and now I have a wonderful turkey carcass for soup! I will use half the stock for my famous black bean and the other half for a turkey noodle.

Euuw, "fried slobbering bullfrog" and "the moustache is tiny squid roasts." Do they use a translation program that turns the pictograms into these phrases?
To be honest, some of the offerings at my family's dinner were just as unappetizing, such as the ubiquitous green bean casserole topped with crumbled fried onion rings and dinner roles that tasted like Bisquik. Yuck! I'm going to have to take a couple nice artisan breads and something resembling green vegetables for Christmas.
Neetzy, I shall never forget your black bean special. You are for ever graven into the Book of True Heroes for making your own stock (for anyone who wasn't around for that particularly sweary set of posts, you missed some fun).

Speedway, I blame Babel Fish and its clones, though I too have been guilty of such mistranslations in Japanese exams. Kanji have so many meanings and need to be read in context. Translation programmes cannot do that (at least not well enough to prevent the odd hilarious result).
