The trees are turning nicely now. Soon they'll get nekkid and winter will suck its way through here for a few months. Hey ho. At least it's pretty right now.
Today the weather is grey and blear; mist and drizzle and near freezing temperatures under a leaden sky, so I'm taking refuge in Friday's photos to keep my spirits up.

Ah, my view from home is not quite so spectacular, Robyn, though I can see fields and trees if I look though the gaps in the houses.
I'm glad my neighbour doesn't have a horse in his garden; the cats are quite enough.
I've seen a lot of pictures of Pulls Ferry. Your workplace is across the street? How wonderful to work and live in such a beautiful town.
My office is just across the river from Pull's Ferry, Speedway. I can stand in the car park and throw rocks at it but it takes a good eight minutes to walk round there via Bishop Bridge.

I think of all the times we have spent at Coltishall when you were children at the air base...always brings back memories.
I like your views on here better than the ride through the city just now, what on earth are they doing to Norwich?

As for the roadworks on the northern ring road: sheesh – at least by the time they're done the traffic might flow a little smoother, but knowing County Highways' planning staff it probably won't.
Lovely views! Good to capture the leaves in their glory before the freeze comes. I never tire of sunsets. As a kid, I liked to try to "walk into" the sunset sky, even though I knew it wasn't possible. Love the pink-orange on the base of the clouds.

I think you post these to make us jealous, Dive. I once posted a photo taken from my office window and someone made fun of me so I don't do it anymore.

Petrea, I post these because I'm still amazed that I'm not looking out at a brick wall or a traffic jam on a London street or all the other office views I've had. This one sure is a doozy.

Not such a bad place to spend your afternoons. Pretty autumn sunset and the spire looks magnificent in silhouette.
It's so refreshing to look up from the monitors and see this scene, Mme. It helps take the stress out of the day.
