Our Robyn's taken up knitting again. I'm asking for a sharp punch on the upper arm here as the last things she knitted were rather splendid, but who can resist the ever-wonderful Natalie Dee? Certainly not me.

PUNCH! Actually, I chose to knit a shapeless shawl because I have never made a sweater that has fit right. Gauge IS for wussies!

Has any home made sweater ever fit right? Surely that would kind of defeat the purpose of the thing. The world is a richer place for ill-fitting knitwear.
I knitted a sweater once for a 4-H project when I was a kid. I gave it to my mom, who said "thank you" very sweetly, and put it in a drawer. I never saw it again (which was a relief).
