Ding Dong, the Witch is Dead

Hey, it just came on the news. Thatcher has dropped dead!
Bwahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa …
Rejoice, oh, happy world.
I'm going to be smiling for weeks.

Hahaha, Katherine. Where do I start?
Thatcher was a deluded, xenophobic, vindictive harridan and politically a sworn enemy of all that I hold dear. The stain of her legacy will take many more decades to wash clean. Her dream of a brave new world where happy, sneering financiers empty the coffers of the country into their offshore tax-dodge havens while the rest of us are fleeced mercilessly has come all too true. The BBC were dredging the barrel for eulogies this lunchtime and came up with war criminal and international pariah Henry Kissinger, which just about sums up the filth of the Thatcher regime. Expect a tsunami if hypocrisy from the sycophants of the far right over the coming days.
Of course, I could say what I really feel but I fear I would shock and offend my friends, so I'll merely state that Thatcher virtually single-handedly ruined our country and all who came into contact with us and I'd dance on her grave but for the fact that I don't want to have that kind of shit-stain on my shoes.

When I first went to work a friend had this little motto in her locker, and it is one I have tried to adhere to all my life," Speak Your Mind But Still Be Kind!" obviously something you did not inherit from me…Ha Ha.

I just knew you'd comment on the Iron Lady's passing.

Mum, I am being as kind and considerate as I can.

Katherine, maybe one day.

There are very few here mourning the event, Ms.M. The government have decided against a state funeral for fear the outrage of the general population would spark protests and riots.

Oh, and thanks, Phil.
I woke this morning to find my baby brother has sent me a cracking set of Thatcher death jokes. He's really quick off the mark.
I won't repeat any of them here for fear of inducing apoplexy in mum, but suffice to say I laughed out loud. Severally.

She and Reagan made a real pair. Over here, ol' Ronnie enjoys nearly cult status among Repuglicans. I don't understand it; I figured I was unemployed about 30% of the time he was in office, due to corporate takeovers and the Black Tuesday fiasco, when the junk bonds caused Wall Street to take a dive, er, swoon. The man was a B-movie actor who walked through his parts - and did just about the same in the White House - with the best part ever written. Trouble was, it wasn't celluloid, it was real life and a bunch of people suffered.

She and Reagan make an even better pair now.
