Oh, WTF, Dive, I just love it. How old was Queen Victoria when the street was named, and did she have a home there?
I was thinking more along the lines of Stephen Fry or my Uncle Richard; far nicer old queens than the mad German bint on the throne.

Well, Dive, thanks for the link to Newmarket. I appreciate it. Also, my first camera was a Pentax H1a 35 mm SLR. No light meter, no auto focus, no-motor drive. I hated when it was stolen. I got a Canon after that which I eventually traded in on a Canon F1. I wanted it to shoot auto racing and spent about $1300 in 1987.
Everything's all digital now so I gave up working at the 500 when the paper told me I'd need to purchase my own equipment (about $5K for body, lenses, cards, etc. fast enough to shoot cars @230 mph). Couldn't afford it then, nor now. So I got the little guy.

What excellent street names! There are mostly benign street names in Boise, although Broad Street and Ustick Road might spur some imagination.

Hee hee, Vic. I hate fake bokeh shots, especially when they use cut out shapes for "kawaii" effect. "Totureh" has now entered my vocabulary.
As for the Old Queens' Cabaret: that goes out live every night from every street in Soho. It's quite an experience walking through there.
Neetzy, I must admit I';d rather have a bird in hand than an Old Queen.
Yay for old SLRs, Speedway. My first one at school was a crappy old Russian Zenit E. You sure learned photography properly with an all manual camera with no light meter.
While it annoys me that anyone with an iPhone can now take fake photos that would have required hours of darkroom work I console myself with the fact that those of us who learned on old manual cameras (I still have my Rolleiflex) are better photographers for it.
I recently had to sell my old Olympus OM4Ti with lenses from fish-eye to 600mm to move over to digital. It broke my heart saying goodbye to all that, but I must say I enjoy my Canons (an EOS 60 D with a G11 back-up).
And yes, I think a bird in hand is worth way more than a couple of Gropecuntes. But then I've not had a bird in hand for way too long … sigh.
Excellent names, Ms.M. I think benign names are often funnier than rude ones as they require you to twist your imagination in interesting ways.
