Is this from one of the old cathedrals you used to climb up into and dangle from precariously?

It is an old church bell frame very like the ones from which I used to dangle precariously. Well remembered, Robyn! The only difference being that this one has a floor and a decent ladder access, where the ones I used to survey had no access and a hundred foot drop under them. Boy am I glad I don't do that any more.

Did I mention that every time I come to visit your blog, I fall a little bit in love with you, Dive?

Everybody does, Maria. Everybody does.

Tell me more about dangling precariously? By what?

Ah, if only, Robyn …

Vic: dangling off the bottom of a bell frame, hunting for the top of a ladder with my foot.

Genie, it's not quite Notre Dame, but at least it has the Bells. Now all I need is an Esmerelda.

This photo and the comments remind me of Chuck Berry singing about his ding-a-ling....

Hee hee, Ms.M. That's a pretty impressive ding-a-ling, I must say.
