I love the picture of the cows! They seem about the shape and as solid and heavy as the felled tree. I wonder if the one gets teased about her dirty knees?

Never tease a cow, Speedway, least of all when she's standing with her posse behind her.

I love me some bovine! Seared perfectly and still a bit bloody in the middle..mmmmm.

Strangely enough, Prudence, I was talking to a friend about beef sashimi with home-made horseradish cream only yesterday. Perhaps I posted this photo because of some subconscious urge to bite a bullock.

Where are the sheep? Don't you all have hoards and hoards of sheep?

dive said...

Not personally, Vanda. There are a fair few of the woolly simpletons wandering around the place and bumping into things. Next time I'm out with the camera I shall seek them out and startle them.

Now this looks like my neighborhood!

Nice photo! There were many similar scenes around the countryside where I grew up.

I looked up kine and found that besides being "an archaic plural for cow", it also refers to "a pestle used with the Japanese usu".

Cows make good neighbours, Neetzy. Much easier to get along with than humans.

Ooooh … Ms.M. Thank you for finding a new word for me to use in Japanese class. Though of course it would be pronounced Kee-neh.
