Taxi!

Just a quick taster for the upcoming Goodwood Revival posts (I'll have a bit more time to put them together midweek).

Welcome, one and all, to Spee … er … Seedee Taxis.
Proprietors: Phil and Dive.

Here's Phil looking after a couple of our drivers.
Nice work if you can get it.

Hurry up with our breakfast and coffee, girls!

Here I am in the office, enjoying a racy tale from Can-Can magazine, with the Bettie Paige cheesecake on the wall beside our Winston, the photo of my respectable business partners Messrs. Ronnie and Reggie Kray beside the typewriter and the old bulb car horn on the bookcase (for whenever Katie calls rocket by its Yanqui name, 'arugula', which is the sound of the car horn and not a salad vegetable). You may want to click on this to get the details.

Toodle Pip!

I like the way Phil cheered up when he got the girls!!!!

Sorry but you look a bit like Uncle Curly in the office!! tee hee....

I think there's a message in there somewhere for Phil.

Hee hee for Uncle Curly! You'd have loved it in there. There were so many things that sparked off crazy old memories. As for CanCan magazine: I wanted to subscribe but sadly it no longer exists. The racy stories and cheesecake pictures were hilarious!
I love Goodwood more and more each year.

Oh man. Now I want one of those red dresses with the golden collar and coordinating hat for halloween. I don't know if anyone would know I was a Goodwood Girl but it would still be fun to wear. :)

You were smart to let Phil have all the fun while you stayed shut up in the office with all the naked ladies...WAIT A MINUTE!!

I think it's probably best this only comes around once a year. (keeheeheehee)

Ditto what Shan wrote! Except for the Goodwood Girl part. I am NOT a Goodwood Girl! (hahaha)

Shan: A job is waiting for you (with uniform) at Seedee Taxis whenever you want to start. Hee hee.
Remember we drive on the correct side of the road here though.

Cali: The job offer's open to you, too! Come on over! Hee hee.

I agree with Alifan -- too funny to see Phil cheer up with those lassies on his arms. Those outfits are fab, but the take-out coffee really don't match the vintage look. I wonder what sort of food they're carrying. So many details to consider in the licensed betting office. Amazing. I especially like the faded red upholstery on the chair opposite you. I'm a bit concerned by how much you're enjoying Can-Can though!

Poor Phil couldn't help but grin with a girl on each arm. If only we could sort him one out for the rest of the year. Hey ho.
Perhaps they advertise them in Can-Can.

Aha, Phil does look rather happy :)

And who can blame him?
Hee hee.

Suh-weet! Short skirts and seamed stockings...I'm going to England.
I'm going to insist that my waitresses wear those red and gold uniforms, they're even our colors.

Eric: Unfortunately this is not general street wear over here. Hey ho.

Still, nice to see. Looks like a great time.
