This week's sentence was suggested by Katie and is from a short story called 'Dall', from the book Cowboys Are My Weakness by Pam Houston:
“I don't shoot animals and I hate cold weather, so maybe I had no business following Boone to the Alaska Range for a season of Dall sheep hunting.”

I don't know if anyone else will want to write a story based on this sentence, I just wanted to see if you could write something based on a sentence you didn't pick out yourself! (Plus one that forces you to go to a place you've never been.) Have fun!
I must say I thoroughly enjoyed writing a piece for this sentence, honey. It wasn't a sentence I would have chosen (I know fat all about sheep hunting in Alaska) but that made it all the more fun.

I don't even know how to start with this.
Sarah Palin comes to mind. But 500 words on her is far too many.
"are" way too many, that is.
So, I'm a new writer in the making. After looking around on this site I must say I'm impressed; now, about that Alaskan sheep range.
On second thought, if someone can tell me how to post a story (that isn't posted as a comment) I'd be quite grateful!

All you need to do to post stories is hit that old "Create Blog" button and five minutes later you've got your own homepage.
I keep separate blogs or my writing, music, cooking, etc. (they're the "Read Me, etc." links in the sidebar) and this one is my general blog which I've been filling with all sorts of rubbish for years (be careful if you check the archives; it gets sweary in there).
Blogging is simple and fun, and a whole lot more secure than Facebook. When you set up a blog there's lots of help and tutorials to get you started with posting, links, photos and video, etc.
