A Quick Filler, As I'm At Work

Yes, I know I forgot this week's WTF Monday post. But I gave you some pretty cars to look at so yadda.

Anyhoo …

Our new 500 Words writer, Todd ("The Wondering Robot") is just dipping a toe into the murky pond of blogging (I remember how much fun that was all those years ago) and asks why I commute seven and a half hours a day.

Hokay, Todd: to save you (and anyone else who may be curious) from ploughing back through over a thousand posts to find an answer, here are a few pointers - a Rough Guide to Dive and Blogging if you will - the perusal of which will waste many hours of your valuable time and will give you some indication of just how dumb blogging and bloggers can get.
I'd advise donning rubber gloves before following any of my links, by the way.

In answer to your question:
(a) I love my job (see the "Work" label waay down in my sidebar for some of what I do).

(b) I love my home (see the "Coast" and "Norwich" labels for some clues as to why I don't want to live in London).

Oh, and as Blogger puts newest posts first you have to scroll down and read from the bottom up.

For the joys of commuting, see the "Joys of Commuting" label (you can sense a pattern developing here).

For the hot poop on my Blogville neighbours and their weird little ways, click on any of the Blogville links.

And if you still want to get into blogging after that, try these:

For cookery posts - cuisine from the sublime to the utterly ridiculous (something I recommend everyone to write so we can try one another's recipes, and you did mention your stew pot!) see the "Eat Me" link up at the top of the sidebar.

To hear me make an annoying racket, try the "Listen to Me" or "Dance With Me" links.

For facetious and occasionally biologically impossible facts about Dive, try trawling the memes - they're spattered through the links sidebar like a virus - (and indeed nicking them and answering those self-same questions about yourself so we can learn about the Inner Todd).

For sex and depravity (ah, we get there at last), check out the "Gene Puddle" and "Sexual Fantasies" links.

Any other of my archive links are viewed at your own risk, especially if you are easy offended. Take everything I write (except this) with a generous pinch of salt; I'm a nice guy really …

No, really!

Now wash your hands.

You forgot to tell him about the weird rubber cat.

It's always nice to have a new blogville neighbor. Welcome to Todd whoever you are.

LMAO! I haven't seen the weird rubber cat, I don't think, Scout. Do tell!

Welcome, Todd! I sent you an invite to be on my blog as well. Sorry it's a pain, but then again, it's starting to feel like a nice little club over at Tenacious Poodle.

Robyn: Todd joined us while you were away, gallivanting around the Med on your cruise.
Pop across to my 500 Words blog and follow his link to catch up.
Oh, and welcome home! Hee hee.

Katherine: You really, REALLY don't want to go there. The Blue Rubber Cat is not for the squeamish.

Yikes I think I'll stay away from the the seamier parts of your archives if you don't mind. Actually, I'll just tell my mom to go through them and see if she has any questions. Hee hee! Todd remember that Dive no longer hates Americans, even though there are plenty of places where he insults us mercilessly in his archives. He's thankfully been cured of that bad habit.

Hee hee hee.
Yes, I am a reformed character.

Welcome to Blogland Todd! Oh boy, will he be shocked to read some of your angst heavy posts from the "pre-K" era. I just rarely have to worry these days about the "new and improved with extra Katie!" Dive. Wheee!

(Now, if we could just get you two to join the OUR GOD REIGNS intramural team we could knock those God-bothered posts winding right out of the SGP for good!)

Big smile :D!

Only the very hottest poop is good enough for Blogville, Mme.

Shan: Hee hee! yes, Katie has produced some pretty startling changes in Old Dive, to the extent that re-reading my old archives is getting scary.

As for the Godbothering: believe me, you'll be the first to know if I wake up one morning to find my faith has been put back where I'd left it.
Until then, I'm still poring over scriptures and scratching my head in confusion. Hey ho.

I've been remiss, sugar, about the 500 word blog. *sigh* But, I shall make haste to remedy that situation. To our newest compatriot, Todd, I say, Welcome! and come on over to the southern side of blogville and have a drink! ;~D xoxoxo

Todd: don't let Dive fool you, after reading the archives you will a shower! Wash your hands, indeed! :D

I noticed the "Eat Me" link only last week. Too funny!

It is glorious to find new blogs to read. I've forgotten that lately. I have so little free time that I sometimes get a bit frazzled trying to visit everyone's blog and keeping up on my own. Finally one day when it was becoming a chore, I just left Blogville for a couple of weeks. It was wonderful, so relaxing. When I came back, I vowed that I would only read blogs when I felt like it and only write posts when the spirit moved me and like the road less traveled, that has made all the difference. I am a happy blogger now.

Savannah: Your welcome is second to none.
xoxoxo

Cali: I'm sure I don't know what you mean. Hee hee.

Maria: That's the same way I survived after the crash and burn of blogging every day for years.
It's nice to be able to relax a little and dip in when I'm in the mood.

Glad you found this blog Todd. You will learn more here by accident than most blogs by design. Lots of "down to Earth" people here and Dive is a fine host. Plus he can cook up a storm in the kitchen. Dive will never steer you wrong. If you use great olive oils, fresh organic garlic and find a reliable fish monger you will never go wrong. Right Dive? And never use a wine for cooking that you wouldnt serve at the table.
