The Proper Way To End A Summer

With the last sunset of the season soaked in the deafening yet exhilarating roar of vintage engines, with the enticing scent of hot engine oil quickening the heart in anticipation of the weekend's racing, with the smooth growl of Merlin engines in the sky above …

It's that time of the year when Old Dive says goodbye to yet another summer at the incomparable Goodwood Revival Meeting.
Starting tomorrow on the Planet.
Be here if you possess any trace of a soul.

How did you manage to make old noisy car racing look so tranquil? That's a beaut of a sunset Dive. :)
Glad you had fun. Is it on with Monday already? Oh bother.

It's Monday already, Shan.
Those darned things seem to come round after every weekend.
Bummer.

Mum: Your post is a doozy. If I weren't at Goodwood I'd have loved to have been there.

That is a beautiful sunset indeed. Do I detect nostalgia?

Hey, sorry I haven't been around. Recovering from the flu :-(

Woah! Bummer, Joy. I do hope you're well on the mend now.

And yes, nostalgia is what the Revival Meeting is all about.
