OK, first, lovely photos. It's a beautiful day here too. I can't stop smiling, and it's not just because I'm going to be wined and dined on Friday.
Second, excellent article. I've been thinking a lot about this very thing. I know that for a while, I just got tired. I'd protested, I'd written letters, I'd contemplated getting arrested (long story, but it wasn't a good idea for me). I even wound up on the evening news for handing out literature at one of those early pro-war rally things. The thing is that none of that stuff stopped anything from happening. It didn't work. The world has grown used to protest, and I think that we need to find another way.
In some ways I've tried to use my blog to communicate with some people who I might not talk to otherwise about issues.
On the other hand, like the woman in the article, I'm still living my life. I still laugh, and I'm still happy at least some of the time. I don't think that allowing myself to be consumed by Bush & Co. is going to change them. So I'm not going to let that happen.
I don't know. I'm rambling...
The article was well expressed but nothing new really. I rather liked the idea of you springing through London in your shirt sleeves Dive, how pleasant! Hot here too but with a sharp breeze now and then. How English are we, talking about the bloody weather? Both saying bloody too. Lovely magnolia.

I have voted on both sides of the aisle, but these days, party affiliation doesn't seem to matter much when it comes to being desperately opposed to the current state of war.
